there is a restaurant in shrevport LA. It does not belong to this group.?????????????????????????????????
I come here about once a month, and for a reason. They are always friendly. They give my son a baloon everytime. The buffet is always fresh and has a good selection. The dinner is great too, but a little pricey. By far my favorit Indian food.
I've been in Houston for 6 years and I'm a big curry lover! India's was, and still is one of the best I've visited and still use it frequently. I'm English and have travelled to India many times. India's, to me, has fused both the British tastes with authentic Indian cuisine. They cater for your needs and will adapted dishes to your tastes and likings. The service is good and the atmosphere is re...
When in that area during lunch time I will usually choose India's as my place to stop. I love Indian food and their food is always good. Buffet offers great selection/variety, always fresh. The dining area is always clean and the waitstaff helpful and attentative. The manager walks the dining are and inquires how you like your meal, etc.
I have been to just about Indian restaurant in the Greater Houston area and I have to say that India's is by far the best. The service here alone makes this place a good find. The waitstaff is knowledgeable and attentive and the managers are always around to make sure you're dining experience is nothing short of perfect. It is very reasonably priced and the food is delicious. The chicken tikka an...
I go to India's a couple of times a month, and I like it. Not it's not the most authentic Indian food, and it could use some more spices to kick it up a bit, but all in all, the food is really good. Considering the price, it's a good value relative to the other Indian restaurants around. Sure you can go to Kiran's, BB Place, Ashiani; but your going to pay 1 to 2 times the price (or more) and g...
My Fiance and I went there for a Saturday night dinner excited about trying out a new Indian place. Being Indian - we might be holding the place to a higher standard but, overall we found the food to be very disappointing. We decided to get two appetizer's and an entree to share. I at first ordered the papri chaat and the waiter suggested we try something else since the papri chaat was not ver...
I used to eat at India's all the time. I cook Indian dishes myself, and although India's didn't serve much that was unusual, I at least appreciated the quality of what they provided. Over the last six years, however, the food has gotten worse and worse. Smaller portions, cheaper spices used. Now I'm sorry to note they don't even bother spicing some dishes. The Tandoori chicken, for example, is ...
I discovered India's in the early 1990's and still love this place in 2008! I love their mint chutney - tastes great on their pappadum! While the lunch buffet is a bit on the pricey side, the food is always extremely delicious...my fave dishes are the saag paneer, the tamarind sauce (great for dipping your naan into), their peas pullao rice, kheer (rice pudding), the chicken tikka masala (not u...
The manager himself came to wait on our table when the waitresses were busy and he was very kind and helpful. Food was excellent and not too over-priced.
I ate at India's tonight for the first time in almost two decades. My father used to take me there when he was completing his residency at Ben Taub. As a child, I vividly remember enjoying the rice pudding, curry, and naan.
I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the food was equally satisfying to my adult palette. My friend and I enjoyed both chicken and lamb curries, as well as a delicio...
I'm your normal mid-30's Houston restaurant goer; I like most types of food, not just Indian. Eat out about 4 nights each week, so have eaten at many places, including some of the better known Indian restaurants inside the Loop and Galleria areas. India's was simply OKAY, and in fact was somewhat disappointing. Service was decent, but that was about it. Biggest let down: food was cold. Orde...
This restaurant has EXCELLENT service I do not understand what the negative reviewer could possibly be talking about unless they own the other Indian restaurant they suggested. We are 'American Folks' and they do not hover over our table....however I have seen regulars there who have probably gone for years having conversations with the staff....Indians as well as American Folk. I have been sev...
I had been to India's because of the reviews. But unfortunately I personally wouldn't even give 1 star. I am an Indian so I know how Indian food should taste like. I had been to buffet in Jan 06 and both veg and non veg are eatable but not delicious. Plus the price that you pay for the buffet is not worth it. The chicken tandoori was tasteless but the goat masala was good.
The service is very...
Comprehensive Menu ; Food is very good quality - and price is good value for the quality.
Good location ; excellent staff & service.
If perchance you're from cooler English speaking European climes, and like your Indian food a little spicier than normally served for a North American palate, then ask for it as "Hot" - hits the spot every time
Best service for the best food at a good price!
This was my initial visit and I was very impressed. I have been to Indian restaurants in a lot of cities, and this is one of the best. The samosas were well-spiced and excellent. The mulligatawny was piping hot and not as spicy as I would have liked it. The lamb vindaloo, however, was exactly as I asked - extra hot! And boy, they weren't afaid to pour on the heat! I was sweating like crazy!...
I am very picky about Indian restaurants, so I was more than pleased when I asked if they could make the vindaloo a little less hot for my non-Indian company, and the waiter responded that they could not because it would not be vindaloo. The food is flavorful and the staff is courteous and attentive. Great place to bring friends or host a group.
I ate here on 8/24/04 and this was my first experience with Indian food. I was very impressed by the very nice wait staff who explained everything very well and who were very friendly. The food I had was EXTREMELY hot so the fact that water was brought by often was very nice. It was a very romantic atmophere and I enjoyed eating here very much. I will be back again and encourage you to give it a ...
I have been a native Houstonian for years, and not a single place in town compares to the mystique of this place. The service is exceptional, the food is wonderful (esp the chaat corner on the weekends), and the decorations are authentic and beautiful. This place has fairly won the attention from its competitors - it is a must try. trust me and visit, you will not be disappointed. There are certa...
I had been to India multiple times. Most of the Indian restaurant lacks in service area. When I went there for the first time I was really surpised to see the quality of the service. Most of all, the owner of the restaurant seems to be a gentle person, unlike one other very famous (?) hiughly advertised restarant where all the waiters are relatives of owner and owner keep on chatting loudly about...
It's hard to find really good Indian Food. I went to India's based on other reviews from this site. It definitely lived up to the ratings on this site. The vindaloo was perfect...hot enough to burn and still enjoy the flavor. I will probably dine at India's again before the end of my trip.
this restaurant has it all. the food is spectacular and even more so when ordering off the menu. the staff is wonderful and you'll never have to wait to be seated, although i can't understand why considering how good it is. location is also a plus!
A group from my office had lunch buffet July 12th and, as usual, every dish was divine. I always expect the food to be extraordinarily delicious and have not been disappointed yet.
A really wonderful Indian lunch buffet. Always fresh good food that changes daily. Dinner is even better. The Lamb and Chicken Vindaloo is a firey treat. Also good are all the breads, and tandori chicken. Service has always been wonderful.
