Well, I've been to this taqueria varies times. Every time I go there seems to be a problem with the food. It doesn't taste fresh. I know the taste of food is important and this restaurant lacks it. Custumer services also is horrible. The ladies at the counter are rude and unhelpful. Im would not recommend this restaurant to a friend and definitely could not return. I gave this taqueria varies cha...
Good food. I have been here several times when the line is out the door. I don't have a favorite dish as I like everything I have tried here!
I'm not exactly sure what anyone else who didn't give this place 5 stars is talking about because the food here is amazing. Fast, friendly service and fresh ingredients for a great price... what else can you ask for from your neighborhood Taqueria??? They even have off street parking! (although it is a small lot, where else can you find that in downtown San Mateo?) The amount of bombastic burr...
This place did not seem clean to me. I heard of all the hype about this place. Great Parking and near the train station. I heard that it was the best place to eat in San Mateo. I got my burrito and took one bite. Not bad but not good. Next thing I knew it, I saw a freaking roach walking across my table! It quickly placed a plate on top of it! The ladies at the counter didnt care that there was a ...
Right next to downtown train station in San Mateo. Grab your awesome burrito and jump on the train to the game to cheer on the Giants. Better than ANY downtown san mateo taquerias. Low maintenance environment to keep costs down. $6 for a foot of perfection!
I love La Cumbre because it has a comfy, homey feel to it but the BEST part are their burritos...I have tried many other many items, which are also very good, but their burritos are famous! They are unique and tasty, like no other. AND they have the best sauce at the tables, highly recommend putting this on the burrito!
If you want a high quality burrito, this is the place. I haven't had any other dishes there, and most of my friends also stick with the burrito. The super isn't really super, but it does fill you up. If you want a very large super burrito, go to the one down the street. You can't miss it. It's a big restaurant. Don't want to put the name of the place on this review.
This place is popular, but they give you chips in a bag (pre sorted) with one container of salsa. Also, it's not the biggest burrito in town. It will fill you up, but down the street you can get one twice as big for the same amount of money. What keeps this guy in business I think is the location right by the train station, and the fact that it's pretty tasty despite being a little bit pinner. Al...
Located close to the station the restaurant does have a charachter. There are a few tables outside and overlooks the train station. Food is good. of the dishes I have tried so far, I like their all meat burrito (no rice and beans inside) and their carne asado. try to avoid their grilled steak plate as it has more vegetables and cashews than meat and is one of their weaker dishes. Overall, good fo...
Squireleone led Walker astray on this one, proving he is no match for Clarence Gilyard. This place was very average. Walker had the Carne Asada burrito and split some super nachos with chicken. The carne asada was the texture of a tire. The "guac" on the nachos was a soupy avocado paste, the sour cream was watery, and the cheese was of the variety you get on movie theatre nachos. The chicken...
La Chewy Tacqueria. This used to be my favourite taqueria around. I went back yesterday for the first time in two years and boy was I disappointed. The carne asada burrito was chewy as hell, like rubber. And as Walker mentioned, the nachos grande used some jv guac and cheese. However, the avocado salsa is remarkable -- basically the only redeeming quality of the meal. Lastly, an hour after e...
