If you like East Coast pizza I highly reccomend Amici's. It is by far the best pizza I have had. They have good salads as well.
Go with the thin-crust. It's a lower calorie option and has just as much flavor. Parking can be challenging but worth the stop
Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon, after reading all the great reviews the wife and expected something really special. It was good, we had the New York style with sausage and mushoom, the crust was nice and and crispy though a bit burnt on the edges. We dabbed off the copious amounts of grease before consuming. Overall not bad, I've had comparable pizza in other establishments.
This place is just a stone's throw from where I live. Needless to say, it's not slimming but is definitely very enjoyable. Basically, a medium pizza can have two separate toppings (good for sharing with vegetarian spouses) and that's about $15. The draft Pilsner is really enjoyable and everything pretty inexpensive. The service is always very slick and pretty fast, even when it's busy. The only s...
I have dined at Amici's a few times now since returning to the Bay Area. The food is served relatively quick but what I like is the friendliness of the employees. I mean: why would I like a place that served good food but the waiters etc treated you poorly? I don't belong to the club where if they serve you bad food and treated you worst, you still tip them and smile on the way out! They remember...
i dont go to amici`s much, i usually have them deliver the food . they deliver food on good time(much faster than most joints ) and also their pizzas are good . i really like their pastas more than their pizzas. Most people I know like this place.
The minestrone soup is GREAT, but pricey. The pizza is OK. The service is not good. OK overall, but its nothing really unusual or spectacular.
I am a native New Yorker. Born and raised on folded slices of 'za to go. I have complained for over 2 decades about the lack of good pizza in San Francisco. Highly touted spots (Village Pizzeria, North Beach Pizza, Escape from NY) have just never passed muster and I can't keep driving across the bridge to Arinell in Berkeley (the Arinell on Valencia is awful).
But now I have Amici's. This is as ...
It's hard to find great pizza in sf and I found it in Amici's! I can have the thin crust margarita or the philly with the sausage and bell peppers. It's great to go to the King street location right before a Giants game! They have some great beers like Pilsner on the tap. It has everything that reminds me of being back in the east coast! It's the closest pizza to the ones I have had when I was a ...
I can't wait until they reopen at their new location. I've tried several of the other Pizza joints in the area and each has taken well over an hour for delivery. Maybe it's because Amici's is closed for the past couple of week, or maybe not. When Amici's reopens I won't be taking any chances. For the quickest delivery, don't try anything but Amici's. Enough about their delivery. There prices...
A great thin-crust pizza is this place's specialty. They can make it anyway you want, but use just the right amount of sauce and oregano. Definitely an above-average pizza place.
Pass on the salads, though - huge chunks of lettuce and a barefly cut tomato is all you'll receive, though the dressing is good.
A little pricey as far as pizza joints go, but it's solid pizza and has a cute new ...
Good thin crust pizza. This place is consistently good and the folks are friendly that work there. Fast delivery too.
THIS IS GOOD PIZZA, BUT I'M ALSO WRITING A REVIEW OF CITYSEARCH ITSELF. I'M QUITE INTERNET SAVVY. I'M THE ONE FRIENDS CALL WHEN THEY HAVE A QUESTION. WHY CAN'T I FIGURE OUT HOW TO RATE WITHOUT WRITING A 100 WORD MINIMUM REVIEW? I THINK I USED TO BE ABLE TO DO THIS ON CITYSEARCH. I'VE SPENT WAY TOO MUCH TIME IN THE HELP SECTION TO NO AVAIL. I WANT TO GIVE AMICI'S AN "8", BUT I DON'T CARE TO WRITE ...
Okay. I agree the pizza is overpriced, but it's just so much better than any other pizza you can get for delivery in San Francisco. I order a lot of pizza, usually because I am too tired to cook at least once a week, and Amici's is hands down the fastest and tastiest of the bunch.
Amici's makes the worst pizza I've ever had! I've been to Amici's restaurants 3 times and had it several times in meetings.
Here's why I give them such a bad grade: the pizza is super thin (I know some of you like it that way), there is hardly any sauce, below average amount of cheese, and hardly any toppings. Could they skimp on the toppings any more? I doubt it. Some frozen pizzas are bette...
Amici's pizza is the best in S.F.. Sparse decor and non-cozy atmosphere is offset bt fast, friendly service, making Amici's a great place to bring the kids or get together with a large group of friends. Full menu of italian pastas and salads will guarantee good food for everyone. Reasonable prices for S.F.. Street parking available or parking garage next door.
Their pizza is good, however its a little on the pricey side. This is just your typical franchise place. Nothing too spectacular, but its a good place to eat if you want some pizza
Amici's is the best pizza I've had in San Francisco. A little more expensive than most, but well worth it. Delivery is very quick too. Highly recommended.
Whenever I want excellent, reliable pizza, Amicis is always a home run. It's pretty thin, so before you go, make sure you aren't expecting thick, pan style pizza. It's not the cheapest you will find, but it's worth the extra money. I recommend the Philly.
I love this pizza, it's got the best crust in the world, thin & crispy & chewy!!! and the grease is delicious.
I've been to Amici's inspiration, Pepe's Pizza in West Haven, CT, several times. While Pepe's is a bit better (probably due to the 100 year old brick ovens), you don't have to stand in line for 90 minutes at Amici's! The White Clam & Garlic Pizza is simply manna from heaven.
No questions asked, The Best Pizza I have ever tasted. Great pictures on the wall remind me of my Boston roots. Whoever the owner is must be a genius for having this good a restaurant!!!
Nice thin crust pizza. No real frills, but can get just about anything you want on the za. Ambiance is like most pizza restaurants. Service and value are good. Most people I know like this place.
The San Rafael Amici's East Coast Pizzeria definitely lives up to the reviews here. By far and away the best in Marin for an authentic slice of real New York style pizza!
Excellent pizza. Thin crust, but delicious flavor combination of cheese and sauce with wonderful toppings
In two visits to Amici's I've tried out their margherita, New Haven and Combo pizza. Having grown up in the Northeast and worked in the New Haven area for 5 years, I have a pretty good idea of what makes a good slice. Amici's is very good for the west coast, a thin chewy crust, thin flavorful sauce and thin layer of cheese. Ingredients are pretty fresh and of good quality. My one complaint is...
This refers to the outlet in San Francisco. I thought that the quality might be influenced by the listed in the 10 best places in Redwood City. This is not the case. This the the most forgettable pizza I have ever had the bad fortune to pay for. It resembles a child's painting on onion skin paper and tastes twice as bad. Stay away!
Best pizza in S.F.! period. Their thin crust pizza cooked in woodburning ovens is fantastic.
This pie is the best pie I have ever had in SF area.
If your the type that likes a little substance to your pizza including, dough, tomato sauce and cheese, save your time and money by heading somwhere else. There pizza's are paper thin, lacking all of the above and are usually over cooked. Head to one of the other fine pizza joints in the city other than Amici's.
My husband and I are both from the East Coast and this pizza is the best!
After living here in the bay area for 13 years...there has been continually one empty spot from my New York life....true New York Style pizza! I mean I want it flat, I want it with just the right amount of cheese, the right amount of sauce...a crust that makes you want to eat it all...AND a slice you can fold! This is truly the best pizza in the Bay Area.
One complaint: They don't deliver t...
This place is great. I always get a friendly voice on the phone, fast delivery, and great NY style pizza!!
This place has got...hands down...the BEST pizza...new york style of course! They put lots of fresh garlic on it (if you would like of course), plus their cesar dressing is the best I have ever had...or made myself!!
I love this place! The pizza is really good and they are willing to make it however you want it. But the best part is the service. They have the friendliest staff, they make you feel welcome when you walk in the door. It's a neighborhood feeling in a first class restaurant.
It won't cure your aching head but it will make you feel better. They deliver and it's good. Order a couple of rootbeers to help with the stomach ache!
Great NYC-style pizza. Too bad I didn't have some beer to go with it. Everyone seems to be a fan of Amici's pies.
Great Pizza! Delivered right to our office, and gobbled up in seconds. Be sure to get a side of broccoli too :)
As close to NY style as we can get on the West coast. Their thin crust pizza tops all the other local favorites. I would recommend Amici's if you haven't tried it already.
As a pizza-hound I'm partial to Chi-town style, but Amici's has made me consider the joys of East Coast style. Great job!
