Ok. The female staff is exactly who I want to be serving me. I've been to this place many times and its best to buy yourself a bottle on the weekends. The girls just love to pile up back there while the rest of the place remains shoulder to shoulder crowded.
I go there occasionally, it can get a little crowded but overall good atmosphere.
awful awful awful and so is the other place in burlington, nj.. blue bar and restaurant... mena heaven.. she is racist and calls the police when she feels threatened business is not going to last long.. they advertise things like food and beer and does not have any!
I was so excited to be back in Philadelphia. My first weekend a friend and I decided to hit up 2nd street, our mistake was walking in Blue Martini. Both my friend and I were drugged after the whole big ordeal I was telling a friend who used to work there when she informed me that the place was known for it. So watch your drinks, better yet don't go there.
This is a great place to start out a night of lounge hopping when you don't have any real plans. It's free to get in, always full of people, and the dj is loud and energetic if nothing else.
Drinks are pretty pricey, probably to make up for not charging for entry, but this is definitely a good Old City pit stop.
One word, RACIST!!! To be honest its really the one Bouncer at the front door, Black guy, which is even worst because he only discriminate against blacks! And I am not just talking about blacks that not dressed appropriate all blacks, except if their in the group with white friends. This Bouncer turned me away numerous times with different excuses, but to be honest I never paid attention at first...
This place is horrible!! Drinks are way too expensive. Staff is extremely rude. I would never go back to this place. I have been to many establishments and this is by far the worst. One of the bouncers was extremely aggressive, he pushed into me very hard, so being the large individual I am, (5'3 120lb) I pushed back. Then he pushed me out . Then he had the nerve to kick me out. This place needs ...
Last Saturday we entered Blue Martini at 10pm with a group of white girls celebrating a birthday bash. Me and 4 other black females left at 12pm for another birthday party promising to return in 10 minutes. The inside staff said ok. OUtside new bouncers said no. The sad thing is the AFrican at the door didn't let Black people in. The white bouncer was too scared to tell him that was wrong. He onl...
This was the second time attempt to go to Bleu martini. The bouncer at the door is a black man who was rude and discrimination. He told us we needed a reservation and wouldn't let us in. Then, proceeded to let a multitude of White, Asian , and Latino patrons in. Then when my friend asked someone in line if they had a reservation or if there was a private party, he called a cop over I guess to sc...
Super lame place. Unless you like bad music, annoying people, and expensive drinks! I wouldn't recommend going there. I wouldn't suggest going here on a date due to it being super loud and bad environment.
My friends and I went there on a Thursday. The music sucked and the drinks were really expensive and on to of that they charge you 18% gratuity on your bill no matter what you get.
If you are on a date, this is the perfect atmosphere, but if you are looking to get wasted and dance the night away, this is not the place for you.
went there with 5 of my girlfriends for dinner tonight, just got back, so horrible i had to immediately give a bad review. it was the WORST service i have ever experienced. i am not one to complain but we waited over an hour and a half for our food. took the waitress 10 minutes to even say hello to us. drinks took forever, getting the check took a half hour. we talked to the "manager" repeatedly ...
Bleu Martini is a nice place to go for a night out on the town. They usually draw a nice and friendly crowd. Drinks are priced reasonably and they usually have good music. it can be a hit or miss location some nights are much busier than others and you never know who you might bump into.
Went here couple of times. One time it was not even half full, barely anyone there. Great music though!!!
Another time it was too packed, no room to dance nor sit. Still, great music but no room. Some girl got trashed, threw up everywhere and touched me with her gross hands :OOO. it was awful.
Trendy but small place. They need to remove the tables after music starts so they can make it more da...
Drinks were good, but food was cold and under cooked. Drinks were great! Bathroom was filthy, bouncers were pushy, wait staff never gets around to the tables. Won't go there again.
I had a great time at the bleu martini the drinks were competitively priced and the service was great everyone was really nice even walking my friend to the rest room since he missed it the first two times (smiles) it was chill when we arrived and became quite packed we were allowed to stand any where we please and even got a chance to chat with the GM really nice guy, will definitely be going ba...
I went to Blue Martini with 3 friends on a Saturday night and was treated so disrespectfully I'll never go back. We were yelled at by three different bouncers for standing in line for the bar. The only place you could actually stand and not get yelled at was in the bathroom!
We got thrown out before we could even get a drink for standing in the "walkway". Who the hell is managing this place??...
Never go there the girl Jenna with blonde hair is the worst worker, she was rude and spilled a drink on me and did not even apologize. That place will go out of business having someone like that working there.
If you are Caucasion, do not go here. Several of us went here for a bachelor party and we were thrown out by the 2 big dumb African American bouncers. I do not dislike other races, by no means but the first big dumb bouncer told us we weren't allowed to stand in the walk way. So we listened to him and found some place else to stand. Evidently, we were standing in another walk way. We listene...
Bleu Martini is a very nice place to enjoy a drink. I would describe it as posh and somwhat elegant. The bar usually attracts an older audience than the normal old city bars and that is probably because a drink is easily over $10. However, they are good drinks and the service is good. If you can afford to sit down and eat as well, the food isn't bad. Overall it is a nice lounge, but very costly a...
This place is so pompous and up-tight for a crappy little martini bar. We grabbed a table that suddenly became reserved after we sat, then were forced to go with the hostess to find another one and then were directed back to the original table we were at and told that we had one hour before the party was going to arrive. We had already bought drinks at the bar, but were planning on ordering more....
i made an early reservation on a friday evening and arrived at the restaurant slightly before the scheduled time. i was seated next to my friend at a table the size of a pizza and was told we had to sit right next to each other, since all the other tables with seating for two had been reserved. we explained that we too had made a reservation, so could we please sit at a table with two chairs? t...
i've been here twice...the first time was with a bunch of friends..and we took over a corner of the bar and made it a dance floor...the second time was with a girlfriend for a drink and food before salsa dancing. both times i enjoyed myself...and the bleu martini and the flirtini...but i wish there was more space for dancing, because the music was good. but with no cover i will definately return ...
I went to Bleu Martini for one of their Wednesday charity happy hours with my friends and after each trying a different martini, we ended up ordering food. The food was really good and we had a great time. I highly recommend checking out Bleu Martini if you have not already been there.
I absolutely loved Bleu Martini, and that's alot coming from someone as picky as me. My friends and I usually do the Rittenhouse scene on the weekends, but we decided to switch it up for a change, and headed down to Old City. Everyone at Bleu is nice as hell - from the bouncer to our waitress, they made sure we were well taken care of. It wasn't too crowded, but definitely a good amount of people...
This is one of my favorite places to go in the city. The martini menu is so fun and there is always great music and really fun people
We had a terrible experience at bleu martini. For starters, it cost way too much to get in when they were not even busy. Second, unless you are lucky enough to get a seat at the bar, there is no comfortable room to stand. But the worst part about the place is how rude and disrespectful their staff is. The bouncers talk down to you and the servers ignore you. A total disappointment and waste ...
The place is whack , the service is horrible, the workesr are so cocky and think there better than everyone because they work there, also the music is the same repeat every weekend, and the bouncer's a player, beware ladies.
Drinks are not strong at all. I have the same drinks at other places and they test better. Food is not good at all. horrible. I requested for medium Burger but i got warm burned burger instead. Sushi was poor quality. hardly anything in it I see only rice. the waitress spilled soysauce all over sushi so it was salty and soaked sushi. will not go there againl. food is over priced.
I came here with people who go here all the time... and was entertained, but not in a good way. Jersey all the way. Whoever decorated it is probably on coke... soooo tacky. Everyone here thinks they are really cool, but there is nothing to back it up. No shortage of hair gel and gross men. You might like it if you have low standards.
I went to Bleu Martini last night and was thoroughly disappointed. Everything from its pretentious name to its poor service reeks of mediocrity.
Drinks are poor and overly priced. It is too narrow and cramped--impossible to move around!
And there is TV advertising mounted from the ceiling!!!
Avoid like the plague.
I've been here on a Friday and a Saturday night! It is a fun place to go with good party music and friendly people!
great place to meet a special someone for a chillin eve. very eclectic, atmosphere chill for a nice lil buzz-on....fabulous martinis
variety tasty wait staff friendly, cool alot of my friends like going here
Got a tiny weiner? Then you'll fit in well here, bunch of greasy wops getting off the subway from NJ sliming into the joint. A meeting place for Natural Born Losers
The bartenders need some training: the drinks were poorly made, their attitude made me feel like I was stealing the drinks and not paying over $10 for each one. Do not recommend.
Good atmosphere, fast service, great music, def. was packed on on Saturday night, bouncer didn't charge friend and I cover but did charge a girl behind us 20 to get in
A native of Philadelphia, I now live in Chicago but I make it a point to try out the chic new restaurant/bars of olde city everytime I come back home. I went to Bleu Martini in early '03 and found the food to be average and the drinks to be pricey, but the hot crowd made it a must-do on my return in early '04. To my surprise the menu is completely different - the selection seems to have tripled, ...
bleu is the best martini bar in the city, the hottest girls work there & is always packed on a thursday, friday, or saturday nite. definitely a place you want to go to relax & have a good time.
great place to bring your friends, trendy and a good time to play.
Me and about 4 friends went after thanksgiving and had a great time. Good misuc, nice atmosphere, pretty attractive people. The bouncer at the door was really cool, but maybe becuase it was only moderatly full when we got there. By the end of the night it was packed. Thats the problem with all the old city places they are all kinda small, but it is decently sized. The drinks did take a littl...
Snooty service, overpriced martinis, and an overly yuppy crowd who thinks paying too much for a drink makes them hip. Head down the street and get a taste of a real bar.
Bleu martini was our 3rd & final stop which started @ 9pm on a Thursday nite. The hostess, servers and bartenders were honeys. The waitress will accomadetae you to a dance if your any good. The Sushi was the best I've encountered. Now I did enjoy a few martinis w/ olives prior to the eats. But, I've done the same @ Morimoto, Budhakhan and I must say the food was phenom.
Upscale? Maybe, I did see ...
Pretty Bland
This place was really bland, the food was pub grub, the beer was extremely remedial and the service was slow. This neighborhood may be trying to get gentrified but the bar is not there yet, they've got some work to do in order to be best of philly.
The place was packed after 11, good drinks. Dirty martini's get the party started here. Like the new room, more space.
A long time friend and I decided to explore our relationship to new and higher levels. And with me wanting to impress her and go somewhere out of the norm (i.e. Olive Garden). I decided to take her to the Bleu Martini, the staff made our first official date one to remember. It was on a Monday, so it was not crowded @ all. The food & atmosphere was excellent!
My husband and I enjoy stopping in this spot when in the city. The decor is very upscale, the food excellent and moderately priced. We love the extensive martini list (the milkshake is the best). I have read the reviews about the size of the place and the crowds. On New Years Eve they open a brand new area leading from the bar/restaurant to a dance floor, adding much more space. As for the crowd...
This bar just flat out sucks. to many people to little space.
My Fiancee and I have been to this place a few times for a few cocktails. The apple martini's are great! Service is not the best, and the place is very small and gets very crowded quickly, but what do you expect in old city???
Let us not forget you are the old Food Tek and you guys need to be more than neon lights and beautiful waitresses to keep you going.... A party of 5 of us had some cocktails there on a relaxed Monday night after dinner at the Continental. It was the pits! We were one of three tables there and our drinks took forever. That was probably because one of the 3 tables seated were all the staff. As we...
I've visited Philadelphia many times on business and for pleasure, and this spot always added to the pleasure! The bartenders are entertaining as are the drinks. What a fun spot to linger! Wish that I was there tonight to celebrate Friday!
Some Friends and I went on a Friday Night and had a great time. We had no trouble getting drinks right away and the DJ had the crowd really into the music. The waitresses make sure you are taken care of all night, all the time. Also, the celebs hang out there so it was exciting talking to a few of them. I had a wonderful time and cant wait to go back again!
