Check this place out!
I went on a date to this restaurant last week. We had reservations so that was not a problem, but I recommend having them because there was quite a crowd around the front. The lighting was great and noise level. I felt very comfortable in cozy. The decor was beautiful and the service was alright. Definitely could have been more attentive to our needs. The food was delicious and drinks were yummy.

Worst Service Ever Actually No Service!

Wonderful, Romantic, planning my next trip soon!
I had a great time at this restaurant. Very intimate, you might be a little too close to the next table but the decor is very worth it. A great place to get a glass of wine and an appetizer if not super hungry. I would recommend getting their flights of wine. You get to try different types for a reasonable price. Located slightly below street level, First Crush is a great place to have dinner and taste excellent wine. The restaurant is small and intimate with an EXTENSIVE, all-California wine list and fresh menu. What a night!!!!
I chose this restaurant as a romantic night for me and my first crush. In town for only the weekend, I had to make the right moves.....and I did. In Love With First Crush
My boyfriend and I were visiting San Francisco from New York City, and picked this place for a romantic dinner on our first night in the area. Surprisingly, this place was not crowded at all on a Saturday night! The service, food, wine, and ambience of First Crush was outstanding. We'll definitely dine here again next time we're in town!

Sunday night jazz

Nice Downtown locale
I rarely make it downtown for dinner, so this was a treat. The restaurant is very comfortable and has a good vibe. It is a nice place to go for a few appetizers and a flight or two of wine. Party in a restaurant
My girlfriend and I decided to try out First Crush and thought that the place was a great deal. She and I split this melted cheese appetizer that went great with the wines the server suggested. Our reservation was at 6, and by 7:30 the place was packed. Would definitely go back. The server helped us pick out things we wouldn't normally try -- and it was all fantastic!

Loved it!
My friend and I shared the crab cake appetizer and enjoyed the chicken. The chardonnay "flight" I tried prompted a full glass follow up. The service was superb, and we were able to enjoy the meal without being rushed, and made it to the Orpheum theater in time for the opening notes of the overture.

I'm a regular at the FC. I was in yesterday, and once again, the server was relaxed, friendly and super-knowledgeable with wine recommendations. My duck entree was fabulous. My girlfriend loved her filet. The crowd was loud, in a fun way.
