  3. Great spot!
Delicious food, great atmosphere and a solid value. Music was a bit too loud for conversation. We'll definitely be back.

  4. Awesome
The food here is so tasty, you have to try the pad Thai!!! I highly recommend. The place is also very well lit and looks like it is a new age fusion style of restaurant.

  5. Yummy Yummy Late nite!
I love Osha! They have a dish for everyone! Im a very picky eater, and my boyfriend and I have very different taste in food, so choosing a restaurant to eat at can be difficult. But we both can easily agree on Osha! He loves the crispy chicken with fried rice and I highy recomend any of their yummy salads, made with fresh papaya, mango, cilantro, you get the picture 8) ...all fresh raw foods for ...

  9. Coconut ice cream!
The actual dinner dish was excellent, but I was not expecting them to also have great dessert. The fried coconut ice cream is to die for! I had to go back there for another serving before my trip was over. It's so unique and delicious! The place can be a little crowded at night, so be prepared to possible sit at a table w/ other couples if the place is packed.

  11. Around the corner
This place is just around the corner where my dad lives. So, we often go here. I like the place - its modern, clean and the staffs are efficient. The staffs used to wear a shirt so tight and small, it shows their navel. Now, they dont wear that anymore. I love their pineapple fried rice with chicken and cashews. It really taste good. By the way, they dont have parking but there is a parking space...

  15. Clean, Cheap, TASTY
Osha Thai is amazing. They have fabulous food, are open incredibly late and conveniently located. I like the atmosphere. Everyone always seems to be enjoying themselves. The boothes are a little uncomfy, but I know they must be soooo much easier to clean. (I worked as a restaurant manager for 2 years.) I have never been seated at a "dirty" table. You know the ones with someone elses rice on it, o...

  16. Best Thai food and fast service/ugliest, most uncomfortable restaurant in town
This place used to be known for its cute and friendly waitstaff. No more. This is the most sullen group of Thai people I?ve ever seen. Normally, I would just shrug, but some genius decided to replace the comfortable diner style booths with HARD wide wooden black benches and narrow tables. It?s torture sitting on those things more than five minutes and you?d be lucky to fit more than 3 dishes on t...

  18. Great food, horrible service
Everything we ate at Osha was amazing - it just took forever for them to come take our order. Once we did, the food came very quickly and was extremely tasty. We shared a salad, a noodle soup, a curry, and a fried rice and everything was delicious. All that plus a beer for just under $40 - a great deal. We will definitely go back, just not when we are starving since it took some time for a ta...

  19. The end to a late night
I've recently turned my BF on to this place. I went here for the first time last year with a group of friends after a late night out. We got there around 1am-ish on a Sat nite and were seated pretty promptly, we ordered, and our food came out in no time. By 2am-ish the place started to get packed - - packed with people coming from the bars and clubs. So recently me and my BF stop by and share...

  20. SF's Thai Gem!
Ok so it may not be the cleanest restaurants around, but the food at Osha is absolutely fabulous! My faves include the crab fried rice, spicy string beans with your choice of meat (personal preference is pork), and Osha sea. Doesn't hurt that the service is quick and the prices are cheap! Parking is difficult to find though but hey, it's the same anywhere in the SF downtown-ish area so no biggie.

  21. Yummy in the Tummy!
Osha is so good. I cannot get enough of it. Too bad that parking is horrible or elsewhere I would go there until I'm sick of it. I love their crab fried rice. That is my favorite because it's not as good elsewhere. Their pineapple fried rice is good too. Their noodles are also good. Everything is good so you just gotta try it. They don't take reservations so if you go during the busy hour...

  23. Love the Late Night?
I was only introduced to this place a few months ago, but I've definitely become a fan quickly. This place has been a haven many times on late nights. There are few late night restaurants that I really enjoy... I mean, sure there's Mel's Drive In not that far away, but Osha's service and food is way better. And you know the late night crowd loves this place because so many people arrive right aft...

  24. Late night noodles
What a graet idea; spicy noodles or rice and just the right amount of deep-fried goodness served well after the bars close. Sure, I'd probably die of heart disease within six months would that I chose to eat like this daily, but Osha is a great budget place indulge in salty, oily foods post-bar.

  25. MMMMM Yummy!
There is nothing else to say, this Restaurant is AWESOME! The only time I got a dish which was different from #71 (Fried Sauteed Garlic Beef W/Rice), was my first time going there back in 2000. Other than that I've been to Osha countless times & I still order the Garlic Beef, this is the Best Thai Restautrant in SF.

  26. If you want to be ignored...
If you want to be ignored, I recommend this restaurant. We were promptly seated; however no one attended to us for well over 15mins, not even a glass of water. Our food came about the time as our appetizers. The food was not warm. It was definitely a disappointment dining in my neighborhood that night.

  27. Hungry after clubbing late at night? Think Osha
Osha is great for all you partygoers living the life in SF. Their pad kee mao is the best I've had in the Bay Area, and their green curry is quite tasty. Prompt service and late hours are definitely a plus. If you're looking for good Thai food at starving-student prices, come here.

  28. grease, armpits and crap service abound
The armpits belonged to my sleevless male server who literally threw my food on the table. A total joke of a restaurant.

  29. Thai in the Neighborhood!
We live in the area and were disappointed when Jour local Thai restaurant closed. We were on a the search for a new place to replace it and Osha has done that. The menu is quite extensive, the food is delicious and the service is pretty good. Prices aren't all that cheap but pretty reasonable. It is a good option if you are in the Union Square area because the food options are so limited there, i...

  30. Late Night Noodles
A great little spot for a late night snack, Osha Thai is open until the wee hours. All their dishes are very reasonably priced (under $8) and portions are decent. I've had the spicy noodles with mushrooms, bamboo and chinese broccoli, very good. Service is average but at these prices, who cares? Overall a great spot for a casual meal...

  31. #1 Thai in the Bay Area for Local Thais!
I've been to many different Thai restaurants around the Bay Area, including San Francisco, and to make it short OSHA is #1 for the local Thais and those who really appreciate authentic Thai food where the food is excellent, and the value is unbeat! Doesn't get any better than this!!!

  32. REALLY GOOD Thai!
This is a great restaurant for anyone! Only $7 or $8 will cover the cost of your food! Delicious choice of noodles, and ALL plates on the menu are available in vegetarian versions, where tofu is substitued for the meat, so if you are a vegetarian do not be turned off if you do not see any vegetarian entrees off the bat. The waiters and waitresses are also aware of veganism and ask if egg is ok...

only been here in the states for 6 months. We have tried so many Thai restaurants in Sf with only a few passable. OSHA is the real deal. It is not Royal Thai cuisine but it is what you find in and around Thailand that is so popular. Cheap eats cooked authentically. To the lady who gave it a 3 adn said it was not good I would like to know where she was in Thailand. She must have eaten at the...

  35. MMMMMMM
This place has delicious food and quick service. Try their chicken with garlic and basil. Pad thai is also great. Top it off with an order of fried banana with vanilla ice cream. I think I'll go now. Sometime you may encounter a long wait.

  36. You get what you pay for
After living in Thailand, I returned in quest of good Thai food. I tried OSHA based on a recommendation. It took some effort to get to - no parking & in an icky area of town. I thought if the food was good, it would be worth it. It wasn't. Barely passable & tasteless noodles and bad service. I won't go back.

  37. The best place in town for Thai!!!
Osha is open late, always great, cheap, cheap, cheap! Cool decor and people. The only quality late night fare on this side of town. I have been a loyal customer for years. They had to EXPAND the size of their restaurant to accomodate all their customers - what does that tell you?

  39. ME THAI TOO!
It's SO hard not to give them a 10, but they really are one of the best Thai places in the City, bargain or no bargain. Okay, so Them Phenom is quite the tasty little spot, but it's such a trendy mess, and can get expensive -- unless I'm in the neighborhood, I don't go there. Osha and Berkeley Thai House are still the best two overall scorers in the area. Unbelievably quick service, consistently ...

  40. FUN THAI FOOD WITH LATE HOURS!
This is the place to go when you are coming home late and starving for a real meal. Most nights they're open after midnight so this is the place to go. You will see a mixed crowd at this restaurant - business people, club people - pretty much anyone who is a food person. Great menu, prices, spices (if you want them), noodles, rice dishes, ambiance.

  41. Hip, fast, and tasty...
Osha is a great place to eat some good thai food, especially since they've expanded to accomodate the demand. Mouth watering pan fried noodles. They make it to order, and always ask again to confirm, if you order a dish spicy, because they're not kidding around...

I have been a repeat diner at Osha Thai Noodle Cafe for years! It is definately the best, most authentic Thai restaurant in San Francisco. My friends and I now living in the Bay Area, originally from Thailand, all go here when we're home sick.
