This place was just what we were looking for! We were in the city for a girls' day trip and wanted to have dinner at a nice Irish place. Well, this place was perfect! Cute, nice, clean, very friendly staff and most of all...GREAT food!!!
We ate here before we saw a show. The moment we walked in, we were given wonderful service and great attention. We had the Prix-Fix Dinner and I have to say, it was exquisite! Definitely a great way to start a romantic evening!
The food, service and atmosphere here are all great!! The French Onion soup is best we've ever had. Try one of the nightly specials but you won't go wrong with any of the selections.
It's not a loud place (when seated in the back dining room) so this could serve as a good place for a easy business dinner, casual first date, and pre-theater. The staff is conscienc about your time if you have to...
I went to Langan's Bar & Restaurant 4 mnths ago Bit pricey, but why would you go here if you weren't ready to drop some cash. Best MEAT in town. Absolutely great food and deserts. Service is superb!
This is definitely a stand-out restaurant in the commercialized Times Square area. I went with 2 other people on a Saturday night, and we had no problem getting a table. The bruschetta was one of the best I've ever had. My veggie pasta dish and brownie dessert were to die for. And on top of this great food, how can you beat live jazz?? It wasn't too loud, so we could easily have a conversati...
After viewing the tree in Rockefeller Center, with the crowds of people, and the Cathedral, we headed west to the Port Authority and passed Lagan's on West 47th Street. My six year old needed to use the bathroom so we went in, and decided to have a drink and some snacks. A very good choice, the bar was packed but people made room for us and everyone was so friendly even though my daughter was a ...
Came here with my girlfriend around Christmas Time. The food here was terrible, Her chicken skewers were served cold and burned. The vegetables that came with my chicken had no flavor. The service from the bartender was slow. Drinks are averagely priced ($5.00 for Coors Light).
The decor is nice and presents a cozy atmosphere but if you're looking for a good meal, either go to the Pig an...
I took my husband here for his birthday in Oct--on a Sunday. We were going to a play ,it was wonderful. We have been here many times. It is a great place for Sunday brunch. Try the Irish breakfast. It so reminded me of our visit to Dublin. The staff is great. We had a large group and we were seated promptly and in a nice section. We made our play and even had time for a walk after our wonderful m...
For Bar its great Place, Bur for food its not recomended, Its like a McDonalds. Try to Next Door. Dervish Good food and Great value
We found Langan's quite by accident in 2001 and now make it a point to go back every time we are in town. The burgers are fantastic--esp if you are like me and enjoy them on the rare side.
Just got back from NYC and Langan's gave us a great respite on a very HOT afternoon. Sit at the bar and enjoy the ambiance--you won't regret it.
My boyfriend and I stopped into Langans after seeing a Broadway Show. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and hospitality. The food was wonderful and the staff were great. We did not realize from the outside of the restaurant that they had such a big (and nice) dining area. We also had a cocktail at the bar and vowed we would come back. We recommend it highly.
My girfriend and I were over in the Times Square theatre district, trying to get "cheap tickets" for her visiting parents. No luck, we were frustrated and hungry, and she remembered having a good time at a party at Langan's on West 47th Street. She's not a fan of Irish pubs, neither am I, but Langan's seemed a much better choice than all the fast food chains in Times Squarew. We walked into Langan...
I had the unfortunate experience of eating at Langan's after theater one evening. While the food and table service was fine, it was my decision to move to the bar after dinner that ruined this evening. The bartender's drunken girlfriend and her obnoxious companion were seated at the end of the bar and for no apparent reason began verbally abusing my date and I. I have never had an evening this...
Celebrating my birthday with a dear Irish friend I had the excellent Langan's ale, a delicious talapia (Chilean sea bass) sitting on an Irish latke (potato pancake). Tasty bread and mre Langan's ale made for a wonderful lunch, pleasantly served. The charming manager came over and made sure all was well and mentioned a midsummer's St Patrick's Day celebration! All in all a great place in midtown.
The pre-fixe menu is decent. The food was good, nothing to be blown away by, but I really liked the atmosphere of the retaurant. They had a live jazz singer, and it was just really laid back. The service could have been better. The waiter never checked to make sure our meal was going well, and it was hard flagging them down but maybe because the atmosphere was relaxing, we didn't mind that mu...
By far the best ambience of the Times Square restaurants that we tried over Labor Day. Great staff and food with the major exception of the tiramisu. We had the fix prixe menu featuring steak and including dessert. The tiramisu didn't have any coffee taste and in fact tasted spoiled or stale. The waitress didn't return for a long time after dessert was served so I couldn't complain while my di...
Another couple joined my wife and I for a pre show dinner at Langans's and really had a good trip. The staff was very courteous and competent and we all ordered from the prix-fixed price menue. We all enjoyed the food and pleasant surroundings very much and would definately recommend this as a pre show dining spot. My only complaint revolves about why New York restaurants refuse to learn that t...
I took my wife to have dinner before Broadway. This is the second time we have been here. The service and staff are excellent. They are all very friendly and kind. We had an excellent meal. The desserts were wonderful. The bread served before the meal was also excellent. We chose from the prix-fixed menu both times and were not disappointed. The value for the meal was the best we have ever had in...
I went here for a Thanksgiving dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was great. One could enjoy the jovial Irish bar scene or sneak away to a booth for a romantic dinner. The service was great and the food was fantastic (I highly recommend the Butternut Squash)
Langan's continues to offer the best service in midtown. The Bartenders are always cracking jokes, and making everyone feel welcome. Not to mention thier knack for filling your drinks up constantly. On second thought, don't go here, I want the place to myself.
