  10. Incredible sushi; great prices
Try the Deep Impact roll and any of the specials Everything else is awesome too, but this is what my table had at our last visit and I'm still dreaming about it! Going out for sushi is always kind of expensive, but my friends and I get around that by ordering a bunch of rolls to share and the bento boxes, which have a ton of food inside for not a ton of money.

  11. CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS!!
I have been a regular patron of Hamachi for about the past six months. The food is simply drool-worthy, the brand new full bar has brought new life to the establishment, and the ambiance is completely relaxing after a long day! From the first night I walked in there I was treated like I had been going there forever. The bartender was so friendly and his cocktails were genius! Their menus ...

  12. Hamachi is a destination sushi restaurant
Hamachi is not just a place you call after diggin the menu out of your overstuffed menu drawer; it's a place to bring friends and to try whatever is new on the menu. I have my favorites of course, but I'm pretty dedicated to letting the Specials menu guide me and I haven't been disappointed. The bento boxes are great in terms of the food and the price; it's usually what I recommend to sushi/Japan...

  13. A Neighborhood Gem!
The sushi is always fresh and the staff is very friendly. I was recently here for a birthday dinner and the restaurant brought us a "birthday surprise" dessert! Very reasonably priced for a group of 12, including drinks. Would definitely return soon for a birthday or a just a casual dinner.

  15. Great
I found this restaurant on this website and its one of the best things i've ever done! its located on a quiet block and was farely empty when i went there (7pm on a thursday). The service was good, and the waitress was delightful. I ordered the Chicken Teryaki which came with soup, veggies and rice. It was delicious and the proces arent too bad either!

  16. I will visit again
Decided to try for the first time at Hamachi a few weeks ago after the recommendation of a friend. I was pretty impressed! I'm not a sushi expert but it tasted good for me, The food was fresh and we didn't have to wait too long. Will probably go back to Hamachi at some point in the near future.

  17. Very fresh
All the good reviews are true. The sashimi was super fresh, no complaints whatsoever. We also had the sukiyaki. I've never had sukiyaki, and have always wanted to try. It was very salty in my opinion, but I have no prior comparison, so that just might be how it is. We got soup or salad before our sukiyaki, and also go some green tea ice cream and some fried tempura banana thing at the end of...

  18. best and completed sake
with long list varieties of sake, with reasonable price make this homely restaurant enjoyable place to hangout. With their experience of 17 years of japanese restaurant make this place the place that fun to stay to.And their service look very simple but prof especially when it's coming for the suggestion of the sake

  19. Painfully slow service -walked out
Went here with a friend for Sunday evening dinner. After finishing our beers and appetizers, it became clear that the lone sushi chef had not even started making our orders, and appeared to be making take-out orders before ours. The restaurant had just one waiter serving the entire restaurant, and other customers looked increasingly impatient, as we were. We walked out after canceling or main ord...

It's not glitzy or anything, but they have such an amazing variety of rolls that you'd likely never think of ordering and it's always perfectly fresh and the people couldn't possibly be nicer... Much better than going to Mizu...

  23. Home Base for Sushi
We love going here. Its our Sushi home! The delivery is always perfect and they even throw in extras sometimes for fun. They are very quick and have never forgotten anything. There are a ton of sushi places in Grammercy and there is no place else like Hamachi, the service is great, the place is so clean and its so peaceful. Everyone is always smiling there!

  24. Ideal for Sushi Lovers
The menu is very extensive and the sushi is super fresh. This restaurant has the largest variety of rolls and appetizers that I have ever seen. If you like Tomoe and Mizu try Hamachi. I love it. The eel melts in your mouth.
