When I was there, Dr. Case talked me into getting soft lenses, and I paid $125 for the prescription and fitting. The lenses hurt my eyes, gathered deposits, and were generally uncomfortable. I never wore glasses before, but my eye doctor advised me to get a pair. I was afraid I'd look like a nebbish in glasses, so I took my Uncle Sol's advice and went to the store on Orchard Street.
