Fredericks did a great job for our wedding cake. They were professional and friendly from the very start. The cake was delicious (vanilla/chocolate w/ rasperry filling) and beautiful! We got many compliments on what a great cake we had.
Jen W did a great job helping me design it. Very helpful!
Thank you Fredericks and Jen!
Just had to post a quick note...not only does Frederick's have the best cakes in the area, they are incredible moist and flavorful! They also have employees that are very knowledgeable as well as very creative! I have stopped and talked with many of the decorators and most of them have all been classically trained at one culinary Institute or another! They are always very quick to greet everyone ...
let me tell you these cakes are verry good the actual cake topps all i have had 4 cakes total from the amherst location. only one cake seemed like the frosting was too sweet but there was a whole lot of frosting flowers ( which were beautifull) and designs of sorts on it i swear buy one cake and you will be trying to find a holiday every month that will allow you to tatsefully buy a cake for the ...
We purchased a football cake for the superbowl and couldn't wait to eat it after supper. It was very disappointing. Cake was dry, frosting was thick and sugary, nothing special about it except it was shaped like a football. We paid $45 for this and I hope anyone reading this will not make the same mistake we did.
Julie from Milford.
Paid $30 for a very small buttercream/yellow 9 birthday cake. Paid $12 for an air brushed design that was nothing like the one I picked out. High school aged children take orders and apparently decorate as well. The air brushed design and lettering smudged while taking it out of the box. They used a cartoonish stencil, nothing was done free hand.
Definitely not worth the money spent.
We got chocolate cake with buttercream frosting and raspberry filling. The filigree design was made with fudge frosting and the design was perfectly copied from the magazine picture I stole it from. The berries were up to their discretion and I think they made a very fun topper for us. Because we got round instead of square like the magazine picture, there was no extra cost for us.
And let me ...
Fredricks does amazing wedding cakes. They are so creative and tasty! If you can think it they can make it. The pastries are out of this world. Prices are competitive.
PROS: Variety
CONS: None
Fredericks is THE upscale bakery of the Amherst area. They have high priced and delicious cakes and desserts that are unmatched by anyone in the area. They make standard custom cakes, have seasonal specialties, and even make full size wedding cakes. While expensive, they are of the highest quality and are constantly in demand.
This pastry shop is more than 5 star. It is awesome. I have bought numerous cakes here for birthdays. They are so unique but all are excellent. They sell Kaluha cakes, Black Forest Tortes, Chambord tortes. They also have a great selection of petit fours - pecan squares, rum balls, tiny cookies. I also bought my wedding cake from Fredericks - it was wonderful!!!
