I went out to Sushi-Thai with my husband and a couple of friends whom we had not seen in a long time. We wanted to eat Sushi and sit and talk and catch up. We finished our meal and sat and talked for a few minutes. NOT even 5 minutes had gone by when we started getting stares from the staff. Then our waiter told us if we could leave because they had a big party coming in and they needed our table...
Being a South East Asian..i can really know the actual taste of a Thai food and this place surely does has the exquisite origin taste of Thai food. The Tom Yam Seafood Soup ,Shrimp in Blanket and the Fried Rice is so good.It has stronger spices than a usual Chinese fried rice and defly recommended for whose who wants to try another new regional flavours.
We went to Sushi Thai Last year and the food is great. It is one of the best Thai restaurants in the triangle area. The Sushi is great too. We didn't quite like the Japanese food. But it was not because of the restaurant, but we generally did not like Japanese food anywhere here. It is slightly on the expensive side. Each entree is like 12-14 $. The Sushi boat is a good choice for appetizer if yo...
We've been going to 'Sushi Thai' (Both in Cary and the one in Raleigh off of Lake Boon Tr.) for about 5 years and haven't had a bad experience yet!
The sushi is absolutely super fresh and tasty, as is the tempura. They keep your drinks full, have the most wonderful attitudes and are, just generally speaking, such nice/friendly folks.
HIGHLY recommend this place. It's delicious!
We feel like family at Sushi Thai. They treat their customers so well, and service is impeccable. Though I have enjoyed Thai there several times, the sushi draws us back weekly. Love their ginger dressing, love their miso soup, love their tamago, love their sashimi special selelctions.
This is one of my favorite places to eat lunch during the week. The always give great service and the sushi is fresh and always tastes great. I love the atmosphere of the place with the detailed woodwork throughtout the entire restaurant. The only thing I would change is for the restaurant to be bigger. If you're looking for a very reasonably priced lunch Sushi Thai is the place to go.
One of the best dining experiences that I have had in a long time. The restaurant was packed and they still had us seated in less than 20 minutes. The staff was very courteous and on top of everything, our drinks were never empty. They did a great job helping with explanations of the menu when we may have looked a little confused. The food was phenomenal, I am not a sushi guy, we went their m...
From the first time you walk into this small, unassuming, store front in Cary be prepared for some of the freshest and best prepared Thai and Sushi that you have ever had. The quality of the fish is top notch, the tuna was a beautiful piece of protein and tasted fantastic, the eel, the rolls and the Pad Thai were all excellent to above excellent. The interior is creative and attractive and the ...
Went here on a whim with the wife for dinner... ordered a couple of rolls and some nigiri, some yakitori and was very happy with the quality of the food and the service. I'm not an absolute sushi connoisseur, but the fish was fresh and very tasty, and the chicken and vegetables on the side dishes were yummy as well. A very full meal (including a couple of rolls to take home) ended up being less...
I have eaten at Sushi-Thai Cary several times, lunch and dinner, and find the food consistently good. Lunches were with coworkers and even the non-sushi eaters found something they liked on the menu. I think the Meal Price is a bit more than just "$." Cary is full of chain restaurants and all that entails; so nice to find a more unique offering available.
My husband and I were on a search to find good sushi in the Triangle area, Sushi Thai came highly recommended. Hoping for sushi comparable to that we have had in the past we took the advice of the ratings and recommendations. One word described our experience: DISAPPOINTMENT. We were seated fairly quickly in the cramped restaurant. After about 15 minutes, my drink order finally arrived (after...
We have tried them all, but Sushi-Thai in Cary is the best sushi around. It is consistently good, and so fresh. We get take out from there at least 2 times a month and eat in the restaurant on occassion as well. It is the best sushi around, don't let the location fool you. The Mary Roll is the best one out there, I have tried many other places!
While in the Raleigh area, this will be a great restaurant to visit. This company is a very good place to go to for business. They are very polite to their customers and I really enjoyed it and so did my family. We will go there again. The foods was great and I really enjoyed thier curry chicken.
A great place for special ocassion or to take the whole family to.
I really love the restaurant, I am a big fan. My family and I loved the food and customer service, we went there for my birthday and we will be visiting again!Thank You
I love Thai food and have sampled it all over the country. I love this place. Great food, great service, varieties of sushi are tremendous. A great place to check out if you happen to be near Raliegh.
We have been eating at Sushi Thai for many years and we are never disappointed. Outstanding food, great service, nice owners.
Went on a Thursday night, it was relatively busy but we were seated immediately. The seating arrangement can be a little tight depending on where you are. The amount of choices on the menu is fantastic. We ordered spring rolls, fried gyoza, the special panko fried tofu, maguro, California roll, vegetable roll, a vegetable stir fry and miso soup. Everything was excellent, and reasonably pr...
I like the menu and sushi better at the Sushi Thai in Cary than the one on Wycliff. The sushi is also fresher, in my opinion. There are more specialty rolls that are not on the regular menu. The sushi bomb roll, exactly that...it was the bomb! I can't speak for their Thai food, since I've not had it at this restaurant, but the ginger salad, ika sansai, and their sushi was all very good! If...
My husband, my two year old daughter and I love going to Sushi Thai. We are on a strict budget and will save money just to go here. My daughter loves the Tamago Yaki. Sushi Thai in Cary is the ONLY sushi restaurant I've been to in North Carolina that makes their own Tamago. All the others use frozen premade stuff. My husband does not eat sushi but has enjoyed the Thai Food. I have had every...
I am new to the area and I am really glad that I found this restaurant. I was hoping to find a really good Thai place and this one is it! The Tom Kha Chicken (soup) and the pad thai are both fantastic.
A friend of mine is obsessed with this place; we go all the time. The atmosphere is really nice-- the carved tables make the place seem extremely fancy, but the prices don't tell the same story (lucky for us!). The sushi is very fresh and well prepared; I had the fried rice and the pad thai which were also good. The service is mainly satisfactory. Totally worth to check out, because once you ...
One of our favorite local restaurants. The food is consistently good and the service is always friendly and attentive.
The Pad Thai is outstanding as are the curry dishes. The Tom Ka is some of the best I've had anywhere. The sushi is consistently good. All in all, and excellent restaurant.

This is a great place for Sushi in the Triangle. The lunch specials are great and the value for dinner is worth it as well. Great ambiance and very friendly staff. Recommended for sushi nuts as well as first timers.
The family that went there on July 29, 2006 and said it was not kid friendly were wrong. Everyone in the restaurant applauded when they were kicked out. We were nearby and their kids were screaming, kicking, and throwing things. They were little monsters and spoiled our otherwise great meal! This is a restaurant that loves most children.
I have been a customer of Sushi Thai Cary for years. I continue to try new sushi/thai resturant, but am always left wishing I had gone to Sushi Thai Cary. The staff is always courteous and the food is always delious! Try it once and you, yourself will become a loyal customer.
Have eaten dinner with Sushi-Thai in Cary (dine in or take out) for many years now. Have never had a bad meal. Am not a sushi eater, but love the Thai and/or Japanese dishes there. The wonderful owners know how to offer top notch service and a warm welcome every time I go. The teriyaki dishes, the pad Thai and all the delicious appetizers, including the Ebi Ten (sp?) are ALWAYS good. Yes it...
Sushi-Thai Cary provides the best creations and freshest sushi to the table every time I go, which is once a week. I have always enjoyed every dish, including all Thai food they serve. Personally, I recommend the Mary roll and pudding roll (last is not on the menu, and no it's not made with pudding). Best Thai food I have had there is the Spicy Basil.
And be sure you go to Sushi-Thai Cary, not...
The food is so delicious. I've been their numerous times over the past four years and every time I've gone for dinner, there has always been a crowd at the restaurant. Don't be bogged down by a few bad reviews. You can always judge a restaurant by how busy they consistently are. The fish in the sushi is always fresh because you can tell by the color of the dark red tuna and the vibrant color of t...
For all you sushi newbies, sushi and Thai does NOT mix. It is a way for non-Japanese restaurants to increase spending per customer, since sushi commands a high price relative to cost.
If a Thai restaurant respects Thai culture and serves kick-ass Thai food, then there's no place for sushi. Have you seen a Japanese restaurant serving Thai?? NO!!!
Wake up people - it's all in the marketing.

This is a nice place for sushi. I am very picky about my sushi so I wouldn't say it is the *BEST* sushi in town but it is always fresh and I have not been disappointed. They have a great lobster in martini glass dish that is very good. I think you will definitely enjoy it. Love the waiters & service. Good choice.
Sushi-Thai has the best sushi in the area. Their service is impeccable and their attention to all aspects of the customers experience is exemplary. Extremely fine-dining. There is a usual wait on busy nights, but that is expected for a restaurant like this.
I ate there with my son last night. He wanted to try something new. Not sure if he liked the saki! The sushi and sashimi were excellent. I like traditional japanese food and he wanted something Thai HOT! So we both got what we wanted. The food was really great, and it was brought out as soon as it was cooked. The service there is truly amazing! The staff all work together to help each oth...
If you're looking for good sushi, this isn't the place. I'm Japanese, I know Japanese food. The sushi at this place won't pass Japanese tongue.
We dine at Sushi Thai once a week. The staff is very friendly and always seem happy to see us. The food is always fresh and delicious! The Tai is wonderful aswell. We highly recommend them.
This is truly the Best in the Tringle and Best of Cary! I highly recommend Sushi-Thai, for lunch and dinner. Sushi is served in large quantities, even in boats. I recommend the Deep Fried Bagel, the Mary Roll, and the French and Dragon Rolls. The service is excellent, and the waiters are friendly. I actually had Sushi-Thai today for lunch.
This is a great small sushi restuarant. We go there about 2 times a month. The staff is so friendly and they always remember us. John even named a roll after me b/c I'm picky and want to add or take things from the listed menu, so he created my own roll and always remembers how to make it. They have even gotten me to try new items by giving me just a little taste here or there, some good, som...
This is in response to another review. We have been eating at Sushi Thai for many years. We have three children and have been eating at this establishment since my 6-year old was a toddler. They are very courteous to us and our children every time we visit. We love the food and atmosphere and we love the staff. I think that maybe the other reviewer may need to understand that it is a public ...
I go to this resturant nearly every week with my family. I was there last night when the prior review was written. The review failed to mention the fact that their child was disrupting the atmosphere of the resturant as well as banging plates and silverware on the table. Although I agree it is difficult to control your young children, it is still the responsibility of the parent to make sure they...
THEY HAVE THE WORST MANNERS AND ARE EXTREMELY RUDE. WE WENT WITH OUR toddler and infant and they wanted them to remain calm. When we reminded them they were kids the management asked us to leave...........
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone with family
I eat in or order takeout 2-4 times a week. The food and service are always fabulous. It's great to walk into such place where they know your name and are always glad to see you...

Whenever I want to show friends or family a great time at a friendly restaurant I take them to Sushi Thai in Cary. I have been dining there for lunch and dinner for about 2 years now. The service is great the food is exquisite and the atmosphere is superb. The staff always has a warming friendly smile which makes dining most pleasant.
while this may not be a "high class" sushi restaurant the sushi is excellent with good variety and the other thai and japanese food is tasty as well. Service is always prompt and friendly. It can be difficult to get a seat at the sushi bar on the weekends, which mean something must be going right.
Great sushi and atmosphere. Highly recommend that you sit at the sushi counter, so you can see the masters at work. Enjoy!
We love the food, the service, the atmosphere, and more than anything, we love the sushi chefs!
This restaurant really serves wonderful authentic Thai food. They know how to make Thai dishes and wonderful Sushi. Their services are awesome.
Excellent food and service. We recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys sushi and/or Tai dishes.
My wife and I eat sushi a lot (a LOT!) and we've come to enjoy Sushi-Thai so much that we hardly ever go anywhere else for sushi anymore. We've introduced many of our friends to Sushi-Thai as well and they love it, too. Now we all meet and enjoy sushi together on a regular basis at Sushi-Thai. We love the atmosphere, the food, and the great service we receive from the sushi chefs and the rest of ...
I was hesitant about this place at first, figuring it unlikely that they could be any good at BOTH sushi and Thai food, but man was I wrong. Our very favorite place.
We visit a lot of sushi (and Thai) places all over the country (and have been to Thailand & Japan) and Sushi Thai is consistently one of the best we've ever been to. For sushi, good portion sizes (no big rice ball and small fish piece), always fresh and the service is fantastic. A great, friendly place to eat at either the bar or a table. THe selection of sushi is broad, from the basic to the ...
Recently I moved to my home in Southern-Wake County and much to my surprise I discovered what I couldnt find in D.C., Florida or Atlanta. What is it you may ask? Its Sushi-Thai! They have the freshest sushi I have ever eaten. The Lobster Bomb has to be the neatest and greatest sushi dish on the planet. The sushi chefs are so knowledgeable and fun to talk to. There is always a good story being tol...
Just when you thought all of the good sushi and or thai restaurants were in Raleigh think again. Several close friends and family members went there for my brithday recently. Not only was the food great but the service was by far the best of any restaurant of many I have dined at in the area. The entreés are well portioned and the food is the finest one could phathom. I highly recommend...
If you like Sushi this is a must try. They have the best quality food by far and big portions. We have tried several places and nothing can compare. It has become a weekly obsession. Not only is every bite delicious but the presentation is always beautiful. They are truly creative. I recommend sitting at the bar because the chefs are great to chat with and will treat you right. They will ...
I have been going to sushi thai in cary for close to 5 years now, and everytime I get the pad thai it is second to none. The waiters are fast and friendly, and the thick cut sushi is always fresh. Try it out.
The wait staff made many mistakes and did not apologize for any of them. They messed up my food order and then they asked me if I could eat it. One of my friend order was completely missing, so he started to eat when the rest of us was almost finish with the meal. Everyone at the table was very dissapointed with the service and agreed that the Sushi Thai in Raleigh provides a better service. Sinc...
Only one word can describe Sushi-Thai:
YUM!!!
Everything we had was great, but the sushi was spectacular. As with most sushi places, it seemed a bit overpriced (especially for a strip mall restaurant) but the fish was incredibly fresh, the presentation was gorgeous, and the wait staff was eager to please.
this place is my favorite! i love going to eat sushi and thai food at sushi thai. i always have a great time when i visit this awesome place. i just want to say congrats to sam, nida and staff for getting voted #1 sushi place in the triangle. i always get great food and its ALWAYS fresh. i have never had a thing from here that was "bad" or "old". if your new to the area and looking for a place ...
As far as Thai food goes this is quite an average establishment. The two times I've been, the noodles have been overcooked, and the meats been a bit over done. The Sushi is decent but I had to send some of my pieces back because the fish smelled 'fishy'. Which correlates to older fish.
Me and my girlfriend have been travel around the country. We have had Thai food all over the country. I am gald that wwe moved here and find out about Sushi-Thai Cary. They have the best Thai food in the Triangle. We had "Chicken Paradise" it is the best Thai food we ever had. Come and try them. You will not be dissapointed. We will go back and eat there again soon.
Sushi-Thai is my #1 favorite restaurant. My brother and I look forward to weekly dinners together and love the food and staff. The sushi is excellent! Be sure to ask for Nat.
Sam and Nita and the entire Sushi Thai team have become like family to me. I eat there 3-5 times per week and can not say enough good. The food is fresh and the service excellent! I especially like the Kanisu, sashimi, spicy tuna, yaki soba, pad Thai, beef fried rice, jumping shrimp, tigers tear salad, calimari, spring rolls, beef tataki and soups. For dessert, I recommend their homemade coco...
I come here two to three times per week. Nita and Sam and the Sushi Thai family are now like family to me. The sushi is wonderful and for those who do not like sushi, they have wonderful alternatives. I personnally recommend the tiger's tear, jumping shrimp, thai coconut lemongrass soup, pad thai, yaki soba, spring rolls, kanisu and for dessert...the homemade coconut icecream. The staff is fr...
I have traveled from the west to east coast of the U.S. and I have to say the Sushi-Thai is the best I have personally tasted for both sushi and Thai food. They have turned my wife into a sushi lover (which if you new my wife you'd say "that's amazing"). In addition to the food, these are some of the very best people I have ever met. They will go out of their way to make your experience a great o...
I ate lunch at Sushi Thai Cary yesterday and got the Sushi Mori lunch special. Came with a tuna roll and 6 pieces of sushi, plus soup for $8 bucks. The owner gave me two extra pieces of sushi, and everything tasted very fresh. The sushi was cut larger than other sushi restuarants I've dined at and I was very pleased overall with the experience.
We have been going to this restaurant for two years now. The food is very good. The service is outstanding. We have established a friendship relationship with the crew due to their pleasantness. They are very concerned about the service and quality of their food.
The manager, Sam, watches his wait service to ensure they are providing the customers excellent service.
i have been going to sushi thai in cary since they opened over 5 years ago. i go atleast once a month and have never had any problems with service. i have 2 children(one 2 and one 8) and they are always treated well by the staff of sushi thai. the food and service is always great but one of the main reasons we continue to go back is b/c my children love to eat there. the wait staff and sushi chef...
The food is good, the service is ok, the prices are high and your kids are NOT welcome here!
I brought my son in and requested a high chair and the host looked very annoyed with my request. I was waiting for my friend who also has a small child and she was treated the same way. She told me that she had brought her daughter here several times and was always treated the same way and made to fee...
I've tried several dishes from several parts of the menu. All were overpriced and average. The Thai curries were ok, but relative to Sawasdee et. al., should be considered awful. The sushi was better, but Sushi Blues tastes better. The stir-fries were fine, but no better than an average restaurant. Nice atmosphere and service, but for the price I wouldn't recommend it to anyone but the curio...
We arrived for dinner at 9, had our meal and were ready for dessert only to find that the kitchen had closed on us while we ate. There was no warning, no last calls. Our food was great and the service was ok, but we were kind of looking forward to a certain dessert. I find it bad buissiness to close the kitchen on people you have decided to seat, it's not like this is a fast food place.
Sushi bar sets the atmosphere for great food. Restaurant is clean and the sushi is not packed with a ton of rice and the portions are well sized. Service has always been good and regularly eat there.
The decor is great and the food ain't bad either, but it's a bit on the expensive side. A great place to go once in a while, but save up for it!
The atmosphere at Sushi-Thai in Cary is very pleasant and the service is very friendly. The food was wonderful. My boyfriend and I had a few different appetizers, some Japanese and some Thai, and we ordered one Thai entree and shared it. It is great that they have two cuisines in one restaurant. The food couldn't have been more delicious. I have never written a review for a restaurant, but f...
