  1. East York Veterinary Center is awful
Amazing. The exact same thing happened to me that happened to poorman. These people are terrible. There objective is to get you in and out as fast as possible while collecting your money. My dog has a spinal injury, they threw pills at the issue and said off you go. As of today I now need to take my dog to a clinic in West Minister Maryland. Please do not trust these people with your pet.

  2. Best Vet & I've Shopped Around!
Dear Debbie S, alias Dr. Statland from Hanover (last poster), I remember you. I don't know why East York Vet would want to list you, if they are even doing it on purpose. This is the best vet hospital I have ever been to and I shopped around, then went back there, so that's how I know! Maybe people are remembering when you were there because I found you too fast, very uncaring, and money h...

  3. East York Veterinary Center is Top Notch!
By John J. I don't normally express my experiences on these reviews but I think that the East York Vet center is getting a bad rap. I have five dogs that get treated at EYVC and I couldn't be happier. I have been to several vet hospitals in York County over the years and none even come close to this practice. Dr. miller has a great staff of doctors and nurses who always are pleasant and inf...

  4. I do not work at East York
I have not worked at this business since 2004 and would like my name removed from this site so it does not adversely affect my reputation. Thanks Debbie Statland, DVM

  5. East York Veterinary Center is Terrible
We had been going to East York Vet for about 3 years until we changed vets early this year. Our Favorite vet there was Dr. Mack. He was great with our animals and got to know them by letting them sniff his hands and petting before he got to work. With our dogs he would get on the floor to examine them. He was a great vet and would always take the time to explain everything and would not run...

  6. The new East York Veterinary Center
As a certified veterinary hospital manager and consultant working with East York Veterinary Center for the past 18+ months, i am responding to the negative comments that have been posted. First and foremost, we recognize that in the past years, due to circumstances that could not be avoided, our client service fell below standard. We took very determined action to turn this situation around...

  7. Ridiculous prices for patheticly slow service
I used to really like the place, but it seems they only care about money anymore. Sure, they are friendly, but good luck getting answers to questions. Plus the baby talk makes most pets nervous. No matter what I ask, it always seems to take forever to get an answer. The prices have really gone up too, probably something to do with the fancy new expansions which cost more than $1 million, acco...

  8. Just too darn expensive
After ordering a Heart guard refill online I was called and told that East York Veterinary Center would not fax a script. I called the office and was told I had to have blood test done first . I was then told how unreliable Internet rx's where and that I might not even be getting anything but a colored, flavored pill.I also would have to sign an Internet waiver form . So off I went with my dog...

  9. just to let you know...
Allow me to clear up any confusion being had by the many ignorant people who have posted reviews on here. first of all, Dr. Gosik has TERETS. if she seems abrupt, or quick and short to respond, or a little jumpy, and if God- forbid you hear her swear, understand that she has TERETS. and if you're so ignorant as to not know what that is then i suggest using the internet to do some research, not ju...

  10. This place is pathetic!!!
After reading several of these reviews I did not feel so alone or opiniated about these people.. Not only are they way overpriced terribly slow and unresponsive to your needs, I spent over 400 for them to tell me my dog had lyme disease, and treat him, 2 years later they said they had no record of him having the disease. I am now in need of a new vet, as our last one was hit by a car. We took h...

  11. Worst Experience Ever
We have just moved to Pa 1 year ago. We had a coupon for the East York Veterinary Clinic from our welcome package. We used the coupon for the free examine and 1 night stay toward a four night stay at the Kennel while we were on vacation. Due to the fact that our dog had never stayed at the kennel we were charged with an extra fee of $5 per night for the fact he never recieved a kennel cough va...

  12. Dr. Gosik is the best
I have read the other reviews and believe me, Dr. Gosik is the best. She cares for your pets like they are her own. She is definately not in it for the money, she is in it because she loves animals. She tells the client like it is and doesn't sugarcoat things. She is very down to earth and straight forward. I take my dog and cat to her and wouldn't trust them to anyone else. As for the pricin...

  13. I am so glad that I left this practice!!!
I began going here years ago. I had DR Miller most times and she seemed great. I thought that she was very thorough. Have times ever changed. This whole staff is some of the most stressed out, hostile, drama-filled people that I have ever met. If I brought any of my cats in a few months late on their rabies shots, I had to pay an extra(careful handling) fee. Even the the cat had no signs, wa...

  14. Terrible experience
After having Dr. Gosik for my vet its clear that Peggy L is either a friend of Dr. Gosik or Dr. Gosik herself. She is rude, unprofessional and clearly cares nothing for the animals she sees. She yells and curses at the animals and staff and talked down to me the entire time I was in the room. I cannot say enough how dissatisfied I am with Dr. Gosik and the whole experience. I advise everyone to ...

  15. Never again !!!
I went to this vet office for a few years. They are extremely overpriced. Hard to get appointments during regular business house even when you explain there is an emergency with a pet they are familiar with. Overall rude and uncaring.

  16. they are great
I have been taking my animals here for a couple years since I moved here and found this hospital to be nothing but helpfull and kind. They are always able to get my babies in at the last minute when I have an emergency, and are always nice when doing it. Dr Gosik really helped one of my sick cats a couple months ago and was nothing but sweet to me and him. It seems like all the negative people...

  17. The worst vets office I have ever been to
I recently adopted a dog from the SPCA and took it to East York Vets just to make sure she was healthy. My dog was seen by a Dr. Gosik, she was so rude to me. She told me that my dog needed all these vaccines and test done which I thought were already done by the paper work I had from the SPCA. She told me the SPCA vaccines were no good and they all needed to be repeated. And that he needed a tes...

  18. Thankful for their openings!
My apartment complex was aduiting their records and they needed updated vaccination proof. I knew my pet was not up to date and they gave me 3 days to provide proof. I called and they got me in this evening. I was very happy because I don't know what I would have done if I couldn't get them done today. I was not expecting to get in tonight since most places I called didn't have an opening. The bi...

  19. VET AT EAST YORK
I'm so pleased with a vet at East York I just had to write. I have found Dr. Gosik the pillar of good veterinary care. I like the fact that she is sincere with the care she gives my dogs. I couldn't be happier with how thorough she is and how she handles my animals and she's up on so many new things in the animal world I find. When tests are suggested, I always just ask the cost so there is...

  20. receptionists are rude and unhelpful
I was recently recommended this hospital by a friend who takes her animals there. She told me the staff and doctors were great and always dote on her animals. Unfortunately what she didn't tell me was the place is complete chaos and the reception staff is less than helpful or courteous. I waited 30 minutes past my appointment time to see the doctor, which I understood because apparently there...

  21. Euthanization of our dog
He was really going down hill and it was time to end his suffering. My son-in-law called and made an appointment. During the phone call he asked how much this was going to cost. He was told $89.00 or $90.00, right in that neighborhood. Well, he arrived for the appointment, which is such a hard time as any pet owner who has had to go through this can attest to, and the charges did not stop. I...

  22. The worsrt vet in York County!
I took my cat in for a routine exam. I called ahead to see what the cost would be. I was told $ $44. At check out my bill was $216.70. Dr. Theresa Gosik is the ruddest person. Not even a smile from her. Very abrupt. She is out for money, not to help pets. Do not waste your time and money there. They will rip you off, .and they make you pay it !! Do not go to East York vets!

  23. HOFFIFIC EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!
I brought my two dogs in for a routine heartworm test and wound up with a $400.00 bill. The staff tells you that you need all of these extra tests and procedures. They are only out to dig deep into your pocket. The worst part of the whole experience was that when they took my dog in the back to drawl his blood I heard someone YELLING AND CUSSING at another dog and quickly peered my head arou...

  24. Horrible office staff
The office staff is not helpful at all. I took my dog to this vet in order to have her nails cut and left with a bill of about $300.00. The vet called me at work after I dropped my dog off in the morning to tell me one of her liver enzymes was elevated and worked me into a panic allowing her office to do a thyroid test in order to rule out three different possible diseases. When I called back t...

  25. Excellent
I love this hospital! I can tell their staff really care about the animals. The vet was very thorough, really knew her stuff , and explained everything to me. They usually call within a few days of our visit to be sure everything is OK, which I really like. The phone system is a little annoying, but no big deal. I wouldn't mind dropping off my cat to be seen the same day if they were totally...

  26. East York Veterinary Center, Industrial Hwy
The best thing about East York Vet is Dr Valerie Miller. The negatives outweigh a possible appointment with Dr. Miller. Posted hours are 730am to 8pm, M-Th. The staff will tell you well, we open around 730, but we don't really let people in until 8. And they don't answer the telephone, either. Or respond to email. Today I realized it's time to move on. I called at 743am for an appointment ...
