I took my dog Simon to Timonium Animal Hospital after he was misdiagnosed / treated at another animal hospital in the area. Dr Gernhart (the owner) picked up on what his real problem was after one exam! He had been in and out of our previous animal hospital weekly. We wasted a lot of time and money with no results. Then we took him to Timonium and everything seemed to turn right around. Within a ...
I absolutely love Timonium Animal Hospital. I have to disagree with what the other reviewers said about the prices. I transferred to Timonium Animal Hospital from Falls Road and their prices were much lower. I am on a very limited budget myself. Anytime that I have ever needed anything extensive done at Timonium they have given me a complete estimate and reviewed it with me. One time the estimate...
I agree. We brought our Pom in for an upset stomach and came away two and a half hours later with a diagnosis of we're not sure and a bill of almost $500!!. ($120 in meds) Geez, I would expect that from a Beverly Hills vet, but this is ridiculous. Our dog is now on the Nature health plan next time he gets sick..
I have decided not to go back to this hospital. While I felt the level of care was adequate, I was quite unhappy with the bill. I mean, who isn't unhappy with a vet bill, but this was different. I took in my dog for diarrhea and walked out $600 poorer...they wanted a full set of xrays, full blood workup, and iv fluids. I agreed with one xray, certain lab tests but not all, and iv fluids. They...
I was overall happy with my experience at TAH. However, there is one vet there (I think their newest) who I would not recommend. I really didn't feel comfortable with her level of care and ability. Otherwise, the everything else was good.
Brought my cat for skin problems (with appointment). Had to wait for an hour. Asked receptionist how much longer I have to wait. Was told that I'll have to wait for a while. At this point I decided that if they are so disorganized I can't entrust them with my pet. Needless to say I wouldn't recomend them.
I have a two year old dog who is absolutely the most important thing to me in the world. She's had some health problems lately and I've had very good experiences with Timonium Animal Hospital. I felt the quality of care was very good, the prices are reasonable, and they follow up with you (its the small things that are most important). I know its hard to figure out which veterinarian to choose an...
Took my cat to the PetER with follow-up at the vet's the next day.
Not only did they diagnose, treat, and cure him of 2 illnesses - our
vet (Dr. Gernhart) has called TWICE in a week to check on
Buddy and to give me test results! Have recommended this
facility to friends.
I TOOK MY DOG THERE THE PAST WEEK FOR THE FIRST TIME. THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGABLE IN EVERY ASPECT. THE PRICES WERE REASONABLE AND FAIR. I WILL BE GOING BACK WHEN NEEDED
PROS: GOOD STAFF
CONS:
Our family has been with Timonium Animal Hospital through several ownership changes (a LONG time). Most recently, they provided palliative care to our dog when he had cancer, and did the deed to put him out of his misery when the time finally came. I can't say enough about how they went out of their way to make him, and us, comfortable. Ted actually ENJOYED his visits... we'd tell him it was t...
