This is my favorite bar in Eagan. The bar is completely separate from the restaurant and takes up the entire barn. Not a bit pretentious, and actually stays open late, unlike most suburban bars. Lots of regulars, pull tabs and huge tvs make this a great place to relax, or to stop in for a night cap before heading home. The late night happy hour features 2-4-1's on everything!
By the way, i...
Always heard good things about this place so decided to give it a try. Food is okay but steaks, seafood are overpriced. Sandwiches (burgers) looked reasonably priced however.
The grounds are not maintained and the interior has not been upgraded since the days dark walnut decor was the "in thing"
The place is a "has been" and needs new management that cares and is willing to start from scratch t...
We had a 50th Wedding Anniversary party at the Casper?s Cherokee Sirloin Room in Eagan. We were placed in the hall which was well decorated and there was plenty of room. The food was hot and everyone was pleased with the ribs, chicken, and Au grotten potatoes. The service was excellent, and the food was amazing. We were so impressed with the service, they catered to every need. We definitely rec...
This is probably the most over rated restaurant in the entire southern metro area. The quality and quantity of food you receive for the money is very poor. The service was vertually nonexistant. We had to repeatedly ask for refills on our drinks. We generally very good tippers, but we literally left a $1 tip!!!
THANKSGIVING'S DAY DINNER NOT THE PLACE BE.... OVER SOLD....COLD,DIRTY AND POOR SERVICE. THE FOOD WAS UNINSPIRING TO SAY LEAST..... SO MANY PEOPLE YOU COULDN'T GET SERVED..... THE SERVERS HAD A HARD TIME MOVING AROUND..... MOVING TO THE BUFFET WAS UNHEARD OF, IF YOU HAD AND OLDER PERSON WITH IT WAS ALMOST IMPASSABLE....... SO MANY PEOPLE IT TOOK OVER 15 MINUTES JUST TO LEAVE AND PAY OUR CHECK....
They used to be THE place and I went regularly, but in the past 5-10yrs, it has lost it's edge. The food is fine, but the quality/portions and prices are better elsewhere.
If you must go, I'd pass on the Eagan location and go to the St Paul location on Smith.
Eagan is run like a business that just wants to get you in and out and to make money, not to bring back customers.
If you're ever in the mood for a lot of crab, this is the place to go on a wednesday night. Don't fill up on the appetizer bread and salad though. That was my mistake. The crab is the sweetest I have tasted in a long time and it is really easy to crack fast. One of my friends didn't know how to crack crab and our waitress was more than happy to show her. It was fun to watch a "professional" crack...
A GROUP OF 4 OF US WOMEN VISITED THERE 2/6/06 AND FOUND THAT THE FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING. THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME EATING THERE. I HAD THE MILLENMIUM STEAK SANDWICH AND THE OTHERS HAD STEAK AND LOBSTER, SHRIMP. MY SALAD WAS CRISP AND FRESH, BAKED POTATO HOT, THE STEAK WAS DELICIOUS MELTED IN MY MOUTH. THE BREAD IS AWESOME HOT AND FRESH. THE SERVICE OVERALL WAS A SLOW BUT THEY ONLY HAD 1 WAITRESS ...
The Cherokee Sirloin Room has a birthday promotion for a free meal (steak I think?). All the food I've eaten there has been average. It has an odd atmosphere, dimmly lit and mostly older people (senior citizens). The service is hit or miss, sometimes we've been served promptly, and sometimes we've waited.
Been there several times -- and every time the food was below average -- steaks tough - service was fair - I wont go back there.
An entire softwball team was completely satisfied and impressed. Great prices, atmosphere, and service.
