  2. A hidden getaway in Downtown Sacramento!
The Inn and Spa at Parkside is truly a hidden getaway in Downtown Sacarmento! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with friendly faces eager to make our stay perfect. The owner Diane was an absolute sweetheart and so accommodating! We stayed in the Kiss room and it was so beautiful, comfortable and romantic. Best bed I ever slept in and the jacuzzi was awesome! We also had spa treatments ...

  3. 18 hour stay
My wife & I spent 18 hours at the Inn & Spa at Parkside in Sacramento to celebrate our35th anniversary. We loved that the staff was attentive to every detail of our stay. Our room was beautiful and spacious enough that we had space to spread out our belongings. To our surprise, there were strawberries dipped in chocolate and sparkling wine waiting in the room. At 9pm after an early dinner we ...

  4. Best Bed & Breakfast anywhere!
Inn at Parkside, oh, where to start? I absolutely love this place. The inn is located near both midtown and Old Sacramento giving you the opportunity to enjoy the downtown activities, shops, and restaurants. But the best part is that while you are at the inn you can go out, or just stay in. All of the rooms are amazing, I've peeked into all of them :) and the photos just don't do them justice. Ev...

  6. Comfort without being at the Sheraton!
My wife and I just love to stay downtown when in Sacramento. We often make the drive up from the bay area to visit with her family and find the Inn at Parkside delightfully perfect for our hospitality needs! We have ordered dinner delivered from one of the numerous restaurants in the downtown area, or have taken a short taxi ride when we feel the need to go out. The beds are the most comfo...

  7. Great ambiance and decor
My girlfriend and I and her girlfriend and partner spent a night recently at the Inn and Spa at Parkside for my girlfriend's friend's birthday. They were able to accommodate us by giving us rooms side by side in the front of the historic inn building. The rooms were fabulous, with interesting decor, and thoughtful amenities. Service was very good. We went out to dinner and played in old town Sac...

  8. What a treat!!
We stayed at the Inn at Parkside to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday and we had such a wonderful time. Not only were both buildings beautiful on the outside, they were so tastefully decorated on the inside...put us in a relaxing mood instantly. We were greated graciously and were escorted to our room after getting a nice tour around the beautiful property. It is nestled among a cozy neighb...

  9. Best getaway in town!
I had an unusually bad day when I pulled up to the Inn at Parkside. I was really grumpy, and had no idea what to expect. When I walked through the door I was greeted by the manager who had the biggest smile on her face. The place was well maintained and had a very cozy atmosphere. Already my mood was calming and I was beginning to relax. Lounge was the name of my room, and thats exactly what I...

  10. Business trip turns into a wonderful getaway...
My husband and I had to visit Sacramento for an unexpected business trip & were delighted to stumble upon the Inn at Parkside for our overnight stay instead of a boxy hotel. The new owner, Diane, was incredibly friendly and helpful as well as the rest of the staff. We felt like we were at home instead of away. It was only a 5 minute drive from where we had to work downtown and there were plent...

  11. Looks can be deceiveing...
To fully appreciate my review, I need loads of space...but for now here is the short and sweet (bitter?) review of this Inn & Spa: Cons: 1. Confusion at check-in with inexperienced staff 2. Plenty of on-site parking (3 uncovered spots) is a bit overstated, most parking is on a public street. 3. Staff used offensive language, like the f-word, during an in-room repair call 4. Fireplace bu...

  12. Best bed I have ever slept in!
I was at the Inn at Parkside in January for a few days to go to a concert and I was blown away by the comfortable, classy and tasteful room that we had. Electric fireplaces, luxurious linen's and comfy pillows made us want to stay longer. Reminded me of staying at the Four Seasons. Can't wait to visit again! Yea!!

  13. Excellent getaway
Definitely a great overnight getaway. The building is nicely decorated and the staff was very friendly. Some B & Bs that try to have a spa fall short....but not this place. The spa treatments were also top notch. We opted to have the morning breakfast served in our room. They even follow up with us on email offering free massages should we return. Overall: Great customer service, excellent...

  14. Just a few Disappointments!
Took my "special someone" to the Inn at Parkside. This is the most money I have EVER spent on a place to stay. We stayed in The Kiss room and it was lovely. A big TV, tub for two, and beautiful linens. Luckily we did not use the bath salts or candle next to the bath (because a VERY small sign informed us that $30 would be charged to our room for use of these items-TRICKY!) Coffee and tea we...
