Great food, good atmosphere and wonderful staff. I have been there numerous times in the past year, and have not had a bad experience yet. As a matter of fact the service has improved!!! They are very helpful and knowledgable about their wine selection and won't make you feel like an idiot when you order. The last time we were there they even had a nice after dinner drink selection that they ...
They started out good, but it quickly went downhill. We asked for more rolls, they said they would get them out to us in 1-2 minutes. About 10 minutes later we asked again- they said another 1-2 minutes. In another 10 minutes we asked yet again- we were told 3-5 minutes. At that point we had to leave for a previous engagement and asked for our bill. It came, and had a charge for a can of Sprite o...
This is one of the finest places to eat in Texas it is well above steak houses around the states it is not expensive for the level of food, service, and atomsphere
The flavors are simpy great and the salad bar is excellent. No question on the meats and the selection Just a real treat all around
Everything was great but doesn't compare to Rodizio Steakhouse
This was my first experience at this type of restaurant. Everything was far above extraordinary from the choices at the salad bar to all the fabulous and flavorful cuts of meat. We came for a celebration and it was perfect. I can only add my raves to those in the other reviews as far as service, atmosphere, and value. It's just become our new place for special occasions!
Ranking them according to my likings I have to say...... 1) Texas De Brasil(Addison, TX)....2) Chama Guacha(San Antonio, TX).....3) Fogo Da Chao(Addison, TX) Texas Da Brasil has a sunday brunch that is beyond exceptional. The salad/brunch bar is twice the selection No. 2 and 3 on this list. The meats however are idential all three places and that's really what I enjoy most. I'd like to see some f...
Prepare yourself for a culinary delight! Chama Gaucha is a traditional Brazilian Churrasqueria or Steakhouse located off Loop 1604 between Stone Oak Pkwy and Blanco. The restaurant decor is beautifully done, with a lot of attention to detail. You can begin your meal with the large salad bar complete with items such as sundried tomatoes, grilled red/yellow peppers, pickled mushrooms, cheeses a...
Simply the best place to go for steak and meat lovers, great food, great service, great desserts for a reasonable price.
This was my first churrascaria and I was pleasantly surprised. Service was excellent, people were literally running to get us anything. We also had a few drinks which were reasonably priced and pretty good. After trying the majority of steak places in SA I would definitely place this one near the top dollar for dollar.
I had never heard of this place before I went, but I sure am telling everyone about it now! I didn't get a chance to sample the salad bar but everyone else in my party said it was excellent. The meat was definitely the highlight of the night. Every time I tried a cut I said to myself "I have never had something this good" until I tried the next cut! The service was impeccable, and the maitre ...
We went to Chama Gaucha for a birthday celebration and it was FABULOUS! The salad bar awas a meal in itself and by the time I got done with the salad bar, I almost had no more room for the main meal. But, somehow I found a place left in my tummy to enjoy the awesomely prepared meat dishes. I had no idea what to expect when i went there and have recommened this restaruant fo all of my friends. ...
Definitely great for the meat lover! My husband and I went recently for a holiday party and did not know quite what to expect. The restaurant was nice without being ostentacious and we got attentive service and a good selection of wine. The salad bar was also clean and fresh with an assortment of choices. We are planning to return soon and are recommending it to all our friends!
I was blown away by this place. I have been to several churrascaria-type restaurants before and was quite nervous about giving Chama Gaucha a try given that is fairly new and I could not find any reviews. It was by far my best experience at a churrascaria and there is nothing negative I can say about my visit. At $35 for dinner, it is also signficantly less expensive than similar establishments ...
Great food, great value. The only thing we did not like was the garlic steak. Everything else was superb. If you want filet w/o bacon, just ask and the will make it for you.
I am very well-travelled around the USA and around the globe. I travel simply to eat and enjoy different cultures. When it comes to churrascaria, name it, i have been there, NY, Houston, Seattle, SFO, LA..I have sampled most of the popular churrascaria around the country. BUT CHAMA GAUCHA takes the cake by far. From the humble, polite and cultured Guam or Juam, to the succulent and tender cuts of...
