How can you go wrong with Davio's? You can't! Steve and his staff have done such a great job over the years. If you haven't been here or any of their other locations you should give it a try. The food is consistently amazing and the service is the same.
For an upscale evening, a special occasion or just something different, this is your ticket. The classic Italian Steak House has all of the traditional meats, sides and apps you can think of, but it also offers a nice twist on a few fronts. The Philly Cheese Steak spring rolls are simply out of this world and the Eggplant Parmesan side is also fantastic Don't skip the mac-n-cheese and definite...
We eat at Davio's 2-3 times a year and always have a good experience. The dining room is beautiful and there is a certain buzz that adds to the meal. It reminds me of a NYC restaurant; in fact the last time we saw Derek Jeter and a bunch of his Yankee teammates.
Our waiters have always been friendly and we trust their suggestions. We typically start with a cocktail and an appetizer or t...
excellent address. highly recommended by a family member. excellent dishes and fine italian sauces. gift certificates available and a great idea for that special client or family member. great dinner specials. worth the stop.
My wife and I bring all of our out-of-town guests to Davio's. Without a doubt the friendliest and most knowledgeable staff in the City.
The restaurant is beautiful, the menu is creative with something for every taste, you can park in the building, and it's next to the better hotels and the theater district.
Do yourself a favor, skip the traffic and the hype in the North End and give Davio'...
All in all excellent well prepared food and service. However the steak is slightly below a premium steakhouse and the Italian dishes lack a little panache. Our service started a little rough with being ignored in favor of a very large party but after a word to the manager things improved dramatically. There are few "buys" on the wine list - but Boston restaurants regularly jack wine prices way be...
A five star restaurant all the way. We chose more common dishes. There were many unusual choices that all looked excellent as they passed by. The filet mignon was wonderful and the roasted organic salmon was spectacular (says husband). The Philly cheesesteak spring rolls as an appetizer are very good. Service is outstanding, dress is dressy! Very classy restaurant. If you dine here while the...
Went to Davios with a group of 8. When I originally heard we were going to an italian steakhouse I felt they would do one thing well but not the other. This wasn't the case. The Italian style meals were excellent and the steaks were excellent. Very nice place, upscale, steakhouse type atmosphere, great service, great wine list, expensive but you get what you pay for in terms of quality and se...
I recently went to Davio's with my boyfriend and his parents for his birthday. I made a reservation through OpenTable and we were seated immediately. (Actually, we arrived late, and called the restaurant, who graciously agreed to hold our table for 15 minutes until we made it there. ) The service was solicitous (almost a bit too much) but informative and attentive. Our waiter made excellent sugge...
We were a party of around 10 people. Everyone ordered a meal except for one person who ordered a salad. The waiter encouraged him to order a dish but he explained that he didn't have a huge appetite. The waiter gave him a very arrogant look and left. All the dishes came except for the salad. My friend, wanting to see just how arrogant the server was, never requested the salad because he wanted to...
4 PEOPLE 4 DIFFERENT PASTA DISHES AND EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS WORSE THAN THE OTHER ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE...NO TASTE WHAT SO EVERAND VERY UNDER COOKED PASTA TASTED LIKE CARDBOARD...THANKFULLY THE DESSERT WERE EXCELLANT AND THE SERVICE WAS GREAT..BUT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT GO NEAR THE PASTA MENU!!!
Not romantic, more business like in ambience, the food is good if you are looking for a hearty steak or "man's sized meal".
The one annoying thing about this restaurant is that the acoustics are horrendous. It is impossible to carry on a conversation! Also, some of the food is Americanized--e.g. Eggplant caponata with sugar (!!) or the fruit soaked in corn syrup (??)...
We had a great time the other night at Davio's!! We started out with a cocktail at the bar. Bartender, Matt, was great with service. restaurant was great too! The food was good the wine was reasonable and Andrew, our server, was exellent. Server was very knowledgable about the menu. Will definatly be returning soon. Thank you.
From the moment we arrived we were treated like gold. Friendly smile at the door, outstanding service from tony. the food was great... try the homemade gnocchi...WOW...We will be back !!!
In spite of the delicious food, dinner was marred by the outrageously expensive wine list. Only 3 bottles of red under $40, 60% of the list over $100. If you don't drink Davios is great, otherwise there are other restaurants with food as good and affordable wine as good.
I had not been to Davio's new location and I was very pleased when I did go. My companion and I began by having a glass of wine and a calamari appetizer at the bar. The bar area was very roomy and a relaxing place to sit. The service was excellent. We proceeded to the dining room to have our main course. The sommalier was a very nice woman who really took a lot of care in selecting the perfe...
I like this place. Upscale. slightly uppity. but fun and good food and great wine and cheese. It exudes class, which is very refreshing for Boston! My friends went there and had a semi private room and it was wonderful we ate dinner for 3 and half hours and never felt rushed.
Starting with the pleasant hostess, the service was excellent. We weren't seated right away (they were waiting for some tables to turn), but she handled it very well. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the dishes and the wines, and made some excellent suggestions. The food was very good (I had the veal, my date had the salmon), well prepared, g(good presentation, appropriate portions) but not m...
I absolutely love the new space, its warm, large and exciting. The food was perfect and our server was very attentive. Keep it up.
If you want someplace to see and be seen, this is the place for you...If you are looking for fabulous food too, you are out of luck. It is OK. Nothing special at all..
