J. P. Licks is a great place for Ice Cream. I has a Funky atmosphere and their ice cream are great. They also have delicious bakery to accompany a good smelling coffee for those cold nights.
Kids love their sundaes.
JP Licks always has a great variey of flavors, all of which are delicious. My personal favorite is the cookies and cream. They also have a variety of sundays and frappes.
Ok, too good to be true. I loved the taste but my friend and I felt way too full after a few bites. Plan on visiting the bathroom often in any of the restaurants nearby right after! Go for the real ice cream. I'm sure it's great
With classic as well as inventive flavors, this is the destination if you?re craving a cone or cup of ice cream on Newbury Street. The topping bar has just as much variety with an array of fruits, candies and other edible accessories. The store is small though, so it can be hard sometimes when it?s busy to find a place to sit.
There is always a line, though it usually moves quickly. I have never been disappointed with neither the service nor the ice cream. I take all of my out-of-town visitors, and would definitely recommend this place to everyone!
I find their ice cream bland and taste less, I found their version of oreo ice cream was like eating ice cream mixed with dirt, it was the worst tasting ice cream I have ever had.
J. P. Licks has good ice cream. The ice cream has great texture and the flavor is good, but not exceptional. The prices are a little high.
Excellent product (i.e. ice cream and even the coffee is great), quick and reliable service, wonderful staff, and a clean environment make this a great spot. I highly recommend it. It doesn't get any better than this.
i think this place is better than cold stone simply because it has a home-made feel. the toppings are OK, but the ice cream is the treat here. plain vanilla does it for me!
Love their ice cream!
They can improve on their customer service and their employees and especially managers should stop being so lazy (ie; stop socializing with each other when you see a line of customers waiting to be served) Newbury street location has the worse customer service.
J.P. Licks has the greatest ice cream around. The ambience is fun & the service is friendly. If you're craving some ice cream, this is the place to be!
On a hot summer day, there is nothing better than an ice cream cone from J.P. Licks. They have a variety of flavors. There is usually a line in the summer, but the friendly staff keep it moving quickly.
If you love ice cream this is the place to go. I bring all of my out of town guests here for a Boston treat and they always leave pleased (and full!). It is conveniently located right around the corner from the Hines Convention Center T stop. Once you enter, it feels like a cross between an old style ice cream shop and a kids playground. There are cow murals everywhere and the counter is deco...
Tonight we stopped in and got two cones. The cones were filled using a tiny scoop (about the size of a jumbo marble) which allowed the scooper to gradually build the cone to the precise weight for each size, 5 oz. for small, 8 oz. for medium and 11 oz for large. They actually weighed the cone on a scale before handing it to you. I was half done with my medium cone by the time we got to the e...
With 5 stores, what could be better! No matter where you are in the greater Boston area when you get a craving for ice cream, you can just shoot over to your nearest JP Licks and satisfy that craving! From Coffee Oreo ice cream to Oatmeal Cookie yogurt to their Sangria Sorbet...my taste buds are watering! So head on over to Newbury Street, Coolidge Corner, Jamaica Plain, Newton Centre, or West Ro...
Very tasty ice cream, lots of flavors, friendly staff. Good about letting try different flavors.
I agree the J.P. licks has the best Ice cream. I haven't been to the one on Newbury St. But I have been to the one in Jamaica Plain.
J.P licks are popping up everywhere, and for a good reason. In my pre-lactose days, a daily trip for there amazing yogurt was essential. The every-changing flovors is a great perk, because you will always get something good. Now a days, my favorites have become lemon sorbet or the world best raspberry lime rickey. I must have if you have never tried it.
By far the best ice cream/frozen yogurt in Boston. But the portions keep gettting smaller and stingier while the prices go up and up. The long line moves quickly though.
The best ice cream!
The best yougurt!
and the most fun around!!!
My girlfriend and I share "licks" here all the time. J.P. Licks is awsome for these hot days here in Boston.
The soft serve is the best, if they have oreo or cookie dough, give it a try!
I absolutely love JP Lick's not just on Newbury St. but in JP, Brookline, Newton, I wish they would open one in Brighton closer to my home. The Coffee Oreo is the best I have ever tasted, Coconut almond chip and Peanut butter chip are also favorites. The atmosphere is laid back and the lines are out the doors but you always get served with in minutes.
JP Licks has great service and great ice cream! Plus the muffin tops only (which are the best part of any muffin) are perfect for the kids.
Excellent flavors, super friendly staff, clean, the line moves like lightening and it's yumyumyummy!
I'm down with J. P. Licks. I think I've put on something like 25 pounds since moving to Boston and J. P. Licks is probably 25% responsible. Moooo've over Toscanini's.
