I went to the Pizza Luce Block party this past weekend and tried their pizza for the first time, it was delicious! The servers that were out there were halarious as well!
I have only been Gluten free for about 2 years now and I always missed pizza, especially pizza with friends out in public... I found out about Gluten free nights at Pizza Luce and LOVED IT!! It's a little expensive, but so is everything that is gluten free! Defiantly a nice treat every once in a while! The crust is very good, my fiance who is not gluten free, but will order gluten free for me eve...
Pizza Luce has a great website for those of you who want to look at what you want to eat before you order it. They also have great pizza varieties, things you wouldn't expect to be good on a pizza go great! For people not feeling like pizza they have some other great options as well.
Pizza Luce has a great vibe! It's a bit trendy, but still comfortable. You walk in and they have beautiful tattoo style art all over the walls [and you can bet that your server has at least one tattoo].
You can get anything from a full out meat pizza to a pizza with rice cheese. Many of the items on their menu come in a vegetarian or vegan style.
I just went to Pizza Luce after readig rave reviews on the place. Let me be the first to say the service was bad with less than 7 people to a server and I had to get up and ask for more water. Our server continuosly walked past us without asking how are food was or if we needed anything. The food was nothin to brag about, the chicken parm sandwich i had said it was smothered in sauce but yet was ...
Great pizza but the staff in the dining area would rather socialize than provide good service. The place has limited seating, so the staff makes the situation worse by taking up bar seats from patrons when they end their shifts.
Luce is one of the best pizza places in St. Paul. I love the variety of toppings and the unique combinations. If you are in the area, it's worth a stop even if you just get a slice of pizza and a beer. Not too many pizza places with have mock duck, tofu, asparagus, and brocolli as topping options. The bleu cheese dressing is the best I've ever had and I would highly recommend the salads as we...
My friend and I had never had Pizza Luce before but decided to try out the St. Paul location while we were in the area. The location was off the beaten path but we found that appealing, as there was less traffic and more available street parking, if the lot were to be full. We built our own pizza and it was the most delicious pizza we had ever tasted--not greasy in the least, with generous portio...
The pizza is really worth eating here - we had the Athena Greek pizza and it was very tasty. Good selection of beers. The location is in the middle of a residential stretch on Selby Ave. Ambiance and the staff is more on the hipster end. Good place for adults, double dates, couples and friends to get together.
My second experience wasn't so good. Service was lack luster, the place was deafenin...
Pizza Luce is one of the few hipster restaurants in St Paul. That being said, the restaurant and its staff are highly unpretentious. Service is always friendly and efficient, the pizzas are delicious. (Try the Wrangler with Mock Duck.) It is slightly spendy - a large pizza will cost you close to $20, but the quality is worth it. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Wine and beer ar...
