- Beter before it was redone
I frequented Puff's before the renovations a few years back (I am proud to say I broke the ladies room sink, ty KL, lol) And it was a great place then, a real tavern feel, neighborhood bar, great and interesting locals and a place you could sit down (wow) and hear (wow) someone speak. After the renovations and new publicity it lost a lot of the old charm and gained a lot of "suits". Too bad. ...

It's the only laid-back place in the neighborhood where you can watch the football games early during the day, while accompanied by good conversations. I love the whole vibe there, it's very relaxed. If your into stuffy bars and expensive drinks this is not the place for you. Drinks are actually affordable, and the bartender Charlie is really cool. The drinks are WATERED DOWN, the bartenders are RUDE, and they take FOREVER to make a drink! I have NEVER been treated so poorly by bartenders and would NEVER go back - EVER! I would have given them NO stars if that was possible! Puffy can GFH!
Read More On Citysearch supawags 9/25/2007 - Comfortable neighborhood hang-outA very relaxed, neighborhood-y place with a diverse clientelle (on a Friday night). The music was pretty bad, but a buck will get you five songs from an outrageously eclectic set of 45's in the old-time juke box. The bartender was either having a really bad day or is just mean, but the atmosphere is great - there's even a cool dartboard in the back.
