Great place to buy a certificate Bought a certificate for a wedding shower, she seemed to love this place. Apparently it turned out to be a big girls day out spa day. Staff is super friendly and very informative to someone who knows absolutely nothing about manis and pedis (as they called it). Read More On Citysearchmquintana 1/20/2010
Expensive but delightful I split my "Spa Time" between this place and Natural Body Spa in Peachtree Battle. They are a little pricey but the vibe and service is worth the extra cost. Read More On CitysearchElleLuper 11/27/2009

Now I know what all the buzz is about! Ok, I have walked by this place so many times and never went in! But I finally got a really cute gift certificate from my boyfriend for valentines day. It covered a fantastic manicure and pedicure, my nail tech Bradley (which is a girl) was the best I have ever had so nice, and cute, my polish (which was dark on my feet) was perfect. I can't believe that I subjected myself to other salons and th... Read More On CitysearchGoodgirl2009 5/17/2009
My Favorite Place to Self-Pamper Sugarcoat is my favorite place to pamper myself while on a budget. At $44 the Essential Mani/Pedi is a deal - especially since I don't have to worry about getting a nasty and dangerous bacterial infection from the unsanitary practices common to many quick-and-cheap nail salons. If you've never heard about this danger, just ask around!
Sugarcoat's salon is stunning and serene. The technicians a... Read More On CitysearchCitysearch User 5/11/2009
Horrible Staff and Management!!! This is a beautiful place to come for manicures and pedicures. However, looks are not enough when it comes to 5star customer service.
I chose to come here after a celebrity friend of mine told me about it. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon around 4:00 p.m., when a rude and staff member informed they could not do my Mani, they had no more appointments for the day, with out asking me if I wo... Wonderful experience Took my daughter for her birthday. Arrived an hour early with no problem. Even if they hadn't been able to take us early, there are shops to go to. Big disappointment On a whim I decided to treat myself to a pedicure and since I'm leaving town for Christmas in a few days I needed to find somewhere fast. My usual place in Atlantic Station didn't have any appointments, nor did my other place in Buckhead so I chose to go here. polish still on 4 weeks later! I was surprised to see the negative comments when I came to Citysearch to write a review of Sugarcoat. My experience was nothing short of fantastic. Worst Experience at a Nail Salon in my Life! Steer Clear! Firstly, I left in plenty of time to make the appointment time, but because Pharr Rd's sign was down I ended up getting lost trying to find Sugarcoated. Where did everyone go? I started going to Sugarcoat over a year ago. The salon had a significant "snooty, wannabe new money" clientele where conversations seemed to drone on about inane, gossipy details. Still, it didn't matter too much based upon the fact that it was a clean salon with English speaking nail technicians. It was nice to have free valet parking. I really enjoyed my nail tech. Wasn't overly impressed.. I just recently took my mom here for a late Mother's Day present and wasn't thoroughly impressed with the experience. So-so service and a lot of hype I've been to Sugarcoat several times and I thought the atmosphere was cute but it wasn't as great as I expected it to be. The pedicure bench was really uncomfortable to sit at and I was there for over 2 hours for a manicure and pedicure combo. The technician definitely seemed like she was right out of school. Being consistent with the previous reviews, Sugarcoat was very clean, a fun atmosphere, helpful staff, and my friend and I were alble to get in right away on a Tuesday afternoon!! Sugarcoat leaves a lot to be desired What a disappointment...I went to Sugarcoat expecting top-notch service and relaxing atmosphere, but instead, received a mediocre mani/pedi. Staff wasn't very friendly, and the vibe was soporific to boot. The beautiful, light and airy interior is the only saving grace for this rather disappointing beauty bar.

What a relief! I just had to write this... Sugarcoat is the BEST salon I have ever been to! The cleanliness is superb, and in fact, sterile; The most clean place I have had a service at. Loved the concept, but customer service was just so-so I loved that the tools are kept and labeled for each individual customer. The spa is cute and clean which is important to me since I'm a hygiene freak. But the person who did my mani-pedi and brow wax was not very friendly and even snickered at the natural shape of my eyebrows. The final mani/pedi was nice, but she was so rough that I did not enjoy the experience. Read More On Citysearchfmac 6/29/2006
User review by amyatl I had a standing appointment every two weeks at a well known chain Spa (I won't name but they are better known for selling their gift certificates than providing good service) I was unhappy with the "spa" so I tried Sugarcoat. Good but a little snooty I recently stopped by for a manicure and had a mixed experience. The parking situation is terrible. If you park in the deck, you have to walk back down to street level, which is sketchy.
