This quaint bistro is straight from france in the 1950's with a menu that serves local grown and raised food cook with a rustic italian flare as the Chef put it. I had the beef shor ribs. I know how clique right but the Chef assured me that I was going to be blown away and blown away I was they were amazingly tender underneath was white beans and this herb relish on top. I paired it with the te...
My girlfriend and I live in the neighborhood and were really looking forward to trying this place out. We decided to go one night for desert and a couple glasses of wine. We live only a block away and the decision was spur of the moment so we were dressed comfortably but didnt think much of it especially because it was a Tuesday night.
Anyways long story short when we got ther we were nice...
I saw the cute, quaint little bistro on the corner and on a whim decided to stop in. After being seated by a very pleasant woman I quickly fell in love with the place, or so I thought. After waiting about 10 min a young man approached me with a menu. I explained I wanted to look over the wine list for a moment. After about another 15 min I had to grab his attention. It was very frustrating becaus...
Me and my husband have been going to the village cork for about a year now and we love it! Great wines at resonable prices, owner is on site and a pleasure to talk to.
In addition they just Hired a new chef and I love his name (Samir). We had a roasted butternut squash rissoto with shrimp and the apple and cranberry bread pudding. But the intresting thing is, its a completely open kitchen and ...
Great neighborhood place. I like the Village Cork mostly for the atmosphere and the small plates. The wine selection is okay--all pretty moderately priced--which is nice for a dinner/restaurant atmosphere but I like to go to a wine bar to taste a glass or two of wine that I wouldn't take a chance on at dinner--and I don't find that here. Still, it is a great place to meet friends and nibble o...
My husband and I had a nice, romantic evening at the Village Cork. The wines and pate and cheese dishes were delicious. The music is great, classic jazz vocal tunes. Interior decoration is very romantic. Great place for leaning back, relaxing. The server was courteous and helpful. We will be back.
Perfect for special events, parties, etc. Excellent appetizers and to die for desserts. All served with a glass of wine! The wine list is unique and endless. A great little neighborhood place to relax at the end of the day.
Just one block west of the new Louisiana-Pearl light rail station, The Village Cork is one of my favorites. Admittedly I'm a regular, but i was hooked to this place almost right away by it's unique wine offerings, casual but dressy food selections, and it's great ambience. You can sip away the night in a fun conversation at the bar with the always colorful, friendly staff or tuck away in a cozy c...
Wine bars are fun without a doubt - you get to pick wines that may not be offered by the glass in most restaurants, so it's less risky, and the atmosphere is almost worth the price per glass. I really enjoy this one. It's a dinky little place with lots of charm and very friendly owners who love to tell me about their wine without looking down their nose or making me wonder whether I'm dressed app...
I thoroughly enjoyed spending an evening getting to know a new friend here. The staff was friendly and open. The cheese tray was delicious and the wine was a great. I would recommend this establishment to any one.
The Village Cork offers an experience I have found nowhere else in Denver. The comfortable European atmosphere creates the prefect enviornment for that special night out.
Village Cork deserves the praise it receives. Denver needs more places like this. The wine list is short, but well selected. The foods pair nicely with the wine and the desserts make Village Cork a perfect after-dinner spot.
Be advised: The service can be spotty. It took me over 15 minutes to get out of there tonight AFTER I asked for my check (5 minutes to get the bill, 5 minutes to pick...
