- Vitesse Cycle Shop is goodI went there for the first day yesterday, and I was not pushed into buying anything.I was also helped in showing how to install a tire and the replacement was extremely cheap. The staff is nice, not to much one-on-one attention though. I do like how they are the only major bike shop in the area and I plan on going back later today to get maintenance done on my bike.

I have lived in the Bloomington-Normal area for over 30 years. Over the years there have been multiple choices for bike purchases but I have always been impressed with the prices, friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff at Vitesse. I just recently purchased my 4th bike and once again was pleased to find the experience just as positive. I highly recommend them.

While they do have a decent selection the positives tend to stop there. I have had sales people scream (yes scream) at my children for touching a child's bike on display. I am always made to feel as though I am interrupting their holiday when I go there despite over 4 grand in purchases, but alas this is central Illinois after all and customer service never quite made its way to these parts...
Read More On Citysearch Citysearch User 8/6/2008 - Great place for bikes!I recently purchased a road bike here. Vitesse was very helpful over the few weeks as I made my decision. I test road as many times and often as I like without feeling pressured to buy on the spot. Post sale, I have gone back to have minor adjustments made so I fit perfectly on my bike. They are so friendly and helpful to do business with.

Vitesse Cycle Shop has a decent selection of bicycles for sale. Their staff is not overly friendly and they tend to push customers toward more expensive bikes, rather then helping them find the bike that suits their needs. All in all it isn't a bad little bike shop, however their customer service skills could use some tweaking.
