  5. Don't take your guinea pig to Lakeside...
I took my sick guinea pig to Lakeside Animal Hospital (even after being warned by the pet store that operates next to them I'd be better off going somewhere else). I wanted to give them a chance as it seemed like a great place. I first dealt with Dr. Anna Barnes, she was very friendly, respectful, but had not had much experience with guinea pigs, and she was honest about this with me - I apprecia...

  6. Better for exotics and birds
Lakeside Vet Hospital is better for exotics and birds than for your family dog or cat, especially if the pet has a chronic health issue. They seem too busy to handle anything beyond the actual appointment time. Veterinarians come and go often. A great vet just left in May. I took my pets there for 8 years, but am looking for a better vet hospital now.

  8. Over Priced
I took my very sick dog at 11 am to this hospital because of vomiting. She was dead by the next morning. The tests that Dr. Gonzalez; x-rays, echo, blood work, etc. were not done. When I got my huge bill I asked for an itemized statement. I looked up the prices online. For Pepcid they charged $49.30, online ($.29), Sucralfate 1gm tab $10.92, online ($.69), Cortrosyn $139.05, online ($95), etc. I ...

  9. Even the little animals are treated like big stars!
I am the proud owner of various small animals, the kind you don't normally find in your everyday house hold. Exotic pets, most people call them. Anyways, it's hard to find a good vet with the know-how to care for these little guys, so I was glad to find Lakeside animal hospital. They are friendly, compassionate, and knowledgeable. I would not trust my pets to anyone else! Oh, and for you dog and ...

  10. So far so good!
We are pleasantly pleased with Lakeside Animal Hospital in the care for our new puppy. She is a pure breed Lhasa Apso and they have been knowledgable about her breed. The staff is nice and helpful with questions.
