- Sylvan...a lot of money for a little helpOK...I know what you are thinking...Sylvan advertises that they can raise your grades by so much....balderdash! They do show you progress but I have had experience with this company and do not trust their initial scoring practices...that and the fact that they oftentimes hire teachers to tutor who are not certified in the areas they offer their clients. That and the high prices would be enough ...
