  5. Overpriced, inedible
Will not go back. Country steak needed hacksaw to cut. Potatoes were greasy. Corned beef hash recipe was not normal. Tasted greasy and corned beef chewy Shrimp were chewy. Biscuits fell apart. Horrible experience.

  6. not consistant
I especially went to Horseradish Grill to have the shrimp and gritts that I always order. They are usually great. Last night, I sent the small (which were to be jumbo) shrimp back because they tasted like rubber. The waiter kindly, sent them back and brought another round. The second round was far worse. The rubber texture from over cooking was not the standard I have experienced over the ye...

  8. Nice atmosphere, great food
Horseradish grill is located off the beaten restaurant path in Chastain Park. The location is truly lovely, and it is a charming little restaurant inside. Fried chicken is the specialty here (they have been featured on Food Network preparing this), and it does not dissapoint. A great place for a special occasion!

  10. Long Time Favorite
Horseradish Grill has a strange name because I've never seen any horseradish on the menu, but this is an incredible place for gourmet southern food. I love the mini bisquits with peach jam.

  13. Great evening!
Dined last night after hearing about the Horseradish for a long time. I enjoyed the chopped salad and ordered the venison due to the waitress recommendation. The salad was good and my venizon was tremendous. I have only tried it once prior and would order it again. The atmosphere is very nice and I will be back for special event type dinners. Also, the staff was highly professional.

  14. Best Dining Experience in Atlanta
Last evening was our anniversary and our first visit to the Horseradish Grill. It had been recommended to us by my step-daughter. By far this was our best dining experience since relocating to Atlanta in 1993. The food, drinks, wine selection and wait staff were all excellent. My wife started with muscles in white wine sauce. I generally do not care for shell fish but these were excellent, this w...

  15. Wonderful Dinner Spot
Horseradish Grill is a top notch restaurant. All of the food was amazing, from the fried green tomatoes and North Carolina barbeque for appetizers, to the honey glazed duck for dinner. The dessert was especially delicious: the Kentucky spice cake is to die for. Complimented with a great wine list and impeccable service, we had such a great night here!

  17. This is a "must try" restaurant!!!!
One must simply try this restaurant. Service from attractive waiters, great food and very reasonable prices. What more could a girl ask for?! How about some soft buttermilk biscuits as bread for the table. The servings are big! A little noisey at lunch time but a great place I am sure in the evening for a romantic date. Beautiful wood interior with provides one of a warm dining experience. ...

  18. Total disaster, but still will go back someday
Seated right away, our waiter was excellent. So far, so good right? Wrong! We ordered our meals and bottle of wine. Waiter came back and told my husband that his fish entree & wine ordered are not available. He joins me in ordering tuna - rare. Mine came out cooked perfectly. His was WELL DONE. He sent it back, again the waiter is apologetic. The manager now comes to the table profusely apolog...

  19. Must try!
I have had some of my best Atlanta dining experiences here! I have attended a company party at this restaurant, celebrated a friend's b-day at this restaurant, and was taken on a date there, as well. All were fantastic experiences! The staff was very accomodating and friendly. The food was wonderful. I highly recommend the venison. The spice cake was incredible! I did make the mistake of ...

  20. Wow!
I love Horseradish Grill! The ambience is very warm and cozy. Our server was very attentive and right on time! The food was excellent. This is one of my "top 5" faves of Atlanta. Try the pecan crusted goat cheese salad and the filet. It was cooked to perfection! The trout and the honey fried quail are awesome, too. I've eaten here on a date and attended a company party here. Both were a ...

One of Atlanta's best restaurants, combining a rustic atmosphere with a touch of elegance, consistently good food and service. We have never been disappointed here.

  22. Worst Service in Atlanta
This was the worst service I've had in Atlanta. They brought my entree out while I was in the middle of my salad, and never asked if we wanted dessert. Very disappointing.

MY EXPERIENCE AT THE HORSERADISH GRILL WAS WONDERFUL! I TOOK MY DAUGHTER THERE FOR HER 21ST BIRTHDAY AND WE ALSO SPENT THE NIGHT AT THE RITZ CARLTON. THE HORSERADISH GRILL WAS WONDERFUL! OUR FOOD WAS EXCEPTIONAL AND THE SERVICE GOOD. THIS IS DEFINITELY A PLACE TO BE VISITED BY EVERYONE WHO LOVES FINE DINING AND I DO MEAN "FINE DINING". 24. Horseradish Grill
We had a rather disappointing dining experience at the Horseradish Grill. Everything was very mediocre. The food was bland and tough, the service (I think our server was about thirteen years old) was terrible, and management seemed dazed. I expected much more considering the sizable bill. Atlanta has so many wonderful restaurantsput this one last on the list.

  25. simple and good
Went there for a sunday brunch. Good service, nice southern-style food. I was expecting a bit more emphasis on southern ingredients: scuppernongs, sassafras, chestnuts, molasses etc. But it was good none the less I had the sweet potato biscuit and my only gripe was the use of those egg poaching rings. Go freestyle guys plus one egg was cooked solid while the other was lovely and runny.

  26. Fantastic!!
We went with another couple on a Saturday night and were seated promptly. It is hard to have a bad table in such a small resturant. Our waiter made us feel very relaxed. He did not try to rush us through dinner. The food was GREAT! I highly recommend the flank steak. Great martinis, great desserts, I can't wait to go back. They appreciate your business and understand that you want a great experie...

  27. Wasting a Beautiful Location
I recently dined at Horseradish after hearing rave reviews about this restaurant. I cannot see what the hype is about. The service at this restaurant is in dire need of an upgrade. My waitress was completely unattentive, never coming to our table. My party never received anything we asked for, including straws, water, refills. I finished my glass of wine halfway through my meal, but since my wai...

  28. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
There's almost no word to describe it - it's wonderful. Great quiet, relaxed atmosphere, wonderful food. Don't leave without trying the oatmeal spice cake for dessert - and ask for the recipe from the chef, it's become a family favorite! When my family's in town, we always go - it's just great.

  29. Enjoyed it very much for the 2nd time!
Been here twice. Once with family several years ago and once with g-friend. Excellent food (southern flair) and good wine selection. I thought food and atmosphere (which are both great) were well priced. Service here is excellent so it is a good place to entertain people important to you. Definitely give it a try.

  30. Different Dining experience
The interior was quite different inside from your typical Atlanta restaurant. The service was very good, and they food was great. The waiter recommended a wine that went perfect with the dinner and I even bought a copule of bottles the next day. The dessert menu is great. I will be back again.
