Country steak needed hacksaw to cut.
Potatoes were greasy.
Corned beef hash recipe was not normal.
Tasted greasy and corned beef chewy
Shrimp were chewy.
Biscuits fell apart.

The location is truly lovely, and it is a charming little restaurant inside. Fried chicken is the specialty here (they have been featured on Food Network preparing this), and it does not dissapoint. I enjoyed the chopped salad and ordered the venison due to the waitress recommendation. The salad was good and my venizon was tremendous. I have only tried it once prior and would order it again. The atmosphere is very nice and I will be back for special event type dinners. Also, the staff was highly professional.

All of the food was amazing, from the fried green tomatoes and North Carolina barbeque for appetizers, to the honey glazed duck for dinner. What more could a girl ask for?! How about some soft buttermilk biscuits as bread for the table. The servings are big! Went there for a sunday brunch. Good service, nice southern-style food. I was expecting a bit more emphasis on southern ingredients: scuppernongs,sassafras, chestnuts, molasses etc. But it was good none the less I had the sweet potato biscuit and my only gripe was the use of those egg poaching rings. Go freestyle guys plus one egg was cooked solid while the other was lovely and runny.

Excellent food (southern flair) and good wine selection. I thought food and atmosphere (which are both great) were well priced. The service was very good, and they food was great. The waiter recommended a wine that went perfect with the dinner and I even bought a copule of bottles the next day. The dessert menu is great.
