Bring it over here!
The first of the Wilmington Charcoal Pits, this is, and continues to be, a big hangout for local highschoolers. Known for the kitchen sink where every flavor of ice cream is dumped into one bowl with 20 spoons, this place reminds you of a well worn diner -- sticky tables and all. For a smoother crowd, try the sister site on Kirkwood Highway where plasma tv's allow you to watch any game you want...
maybe its the intentional style of the restaurant, but I feel that this place was dirty and that changed my mind about the sanitariness of the food. Overall pretty good though
The food here was good and the prices reasonable. One the day of my visit the service at the takeout was a little slow. Friendliness of the server made up for the slow service.
