I had a broken emergency brake sensor. I called many other mechanics who's prices were double Hal's. So I decided to give them a try. Not only were their prices great, but they were fast, courteous & even threw in extra's for free like replacing my burnt out bulbs & topping off my fluids. I would recommend Hal's for anyone who has been burnt in the past my shady mechanic?s looking for a honest pl...
I brought my car into Hal's Auto Care with an air conditioning problem. Two dealers and another so called a/c shop could not figure this thing out. They always acted like my car's problem was all in my head as they all said it worked fine.
All I can say is Wow! Hal's had it for 1/2 the day and found out why it would stop blowing cold for me. They called and gave me an estimate and I ...
I brought my Honda in to these guys and they charged me to check it out and said it would be another hour to figure it out, I thought thats what I allready paid for, nobody said the first charge for diagnostic wouldn't complete the testing and that I would have to spend more, all they told me was its a problem with a scensor and that was it, not which scensor. I went back to the dealer and they f...
WOW! That's all I can say about this place. I had an issue with my car's a/c and took it to the local Dealer. After my had been there for two days, the dealer wanted to charge me $600 and it still wasn't fixed. After talking to a friend about my problem, she reccommened this shop. Now I know why. After talking to the friendly staff, I brought my car in. They were able to fix the problem in...
I stopped by because I found them on here & they are on my way home from work and my car has been getting harder to start. They said it was a starter but they must have thought that I was an easy mark because the price was way higher than I thought it should be and the next 2 places on here I called both beat it by over $100 I am way to busy to have to shop around everytime to save a hundred d...
i towed my 94 nissan sentra in and they told me the motor would be over $5800 for a car worth maybey 3000$ I had it done elsewhere with the tow for under 2800$ yeah the place loks and seems nice but the price is way up there and they wanted to charge me for looking at it b4 the tow company could pick it up. I think they started it and heard the banging and said yeah its the motor, what loking at...
I need a reliable vehicle. One that operates safely, smoothly and efficiently. I don't want to be delayed, much less stranded with car problems. Hal's has kept my vehicles performing the way I want for many years. They may not be the cheapest, but they do it right the first time, saving me time and frustration. I trust them with the safety of my family and myself.
Been going to Hal's for years...nobody I trust more (or at all) with my vehicles. When I refer to friends and family, I confidently guarantee work!!!
This place is a fraud! I took my car in today for A/C repair. They quoted me $1250 to repair a compressor seal. You do the math... $50 for parts, 2 - 4 hours work. If you have the funds for $300-$600 per hour labor then this is the right car shop for you!!!!! And good luck to you if you are a woman because the serviceman there straight out told me that I had no knowledge of refrigeration w...
I visited Hal's today for A/C concerns. They quoted me $1250.00 to replace a seal in the air compressor. The parts generously would cover the $50 and it takes 2-4 hours to do; so that would be $300 -$600 an hour for labor.
If you have 1250 to spend for a 2 hour job, this is the shop for you.
After reading the reviews I called and asked for quote to get my 98 Chevy Malibu tuned up. I spoke to a gentleman over the phone and you would swear that your talking to friendly neighbor. He spent 10 minutes giving me free education on how cars made after 1996 really don't need "tune-ups". He advised on what I need to change myself and if I had any other questions, 'just call back!'
Now th...
Hal's has the most friendly and helpful staff I have ever dealt with. From the time I walk into the front door to the time I pick my car up after it's finished. My service advisor, Kenny, is very knowledgable and kept me updated on the repairs so I wasn't constantly wondering the status of my car. Even my shuttle driver was an excellent driver, not to mention, she is one of the nicest people I...
I was told by a dealer that my truck needed $2200.00 to fix the A/C. When I told a friend about this she suggested I take my truck to a shop she uses.......Hals AutoCare. I made an appointment and they had their technician perform and A/C diagnostic service and found that I only needed a compressor clutch. Not knowing what this was their friendly staff explained to me (with terms and pictures...
I went to Hal's Auto after being referred by 2 different sources. I had my 04 Ford Van into the dealer 4 separate times to fix an AC problem. Each time, they told me they fixed the problem but it never seemed any better. I went to Hal's and they found and fixed the problem on the first visit. My AC now works like it should have all along. Aside from fixing the problem, I really liked the fac...
These people are wonderful. For the first time my wife gets her car serviced on here own, her choice, due to the level of honesty these people have. They maintain my wifes car like it was their own and my bride is so happy!
Knowledgable staff & clean facility. Recomend them highly. Convenient location off of Fulton avenue, behind the Target Store.
