There is no separation between tables. The tables are too close to each other.
ok i took my picky eater boyfriend to this resturant based on the reviews and star ratings. I did read some of the reviews which help with deciding what to order. We had the arugula salad to start off. My boyfriend is not a salad eater at all, and HE LOVED THIS SALAD.. He said it was the best salad he ever had. For our entree he had theGrilled Center Cut Beef Tenderloin w/ braised greens mac & ch...
The place is perfect for any occasion. The food is amazing, and so flavorful. The ambiance is excellent, relaxed yet fun. The service is very professional. Servers are on top of things! I love it! The location is convenient too!
Have visited Wisteria a number of times and always enjoy myself there. Generous portions, great flavors and seasonal specials are some of the reasons this is my "go-to" place anytime. Try the scallop appetizer, the chicken entree, of course the lamb, the filet, the desserts...no misses on the menu in my opinion. Even if you go solo, one feels as comfortable at the bar as with a large group.
My wife and I arrived with a reservation but wasn't needed on a monday and were seated promptly. Our apps and salad were so-so, crab bisque wasn't as good as my mom's from home in Louisiana( i think i'll get scallops next time). However my mom would be upset to hear that the fried chicken, bacon braised greens!!!, corn pudding and bread pudding absolutely put her's to shame. My wife had the beef ...
good wine list. enjoyed the cocktails. service is slow, uninterested and with an attitude and who needs that?
I tried it several times to be sure and want to support it as I live in Inman, but it just does not deliver the quality it charges for and I do like their sister, pozole
Wisteria is an amazing restaurant. I have had such a great time every time I have been there. The food is amazing & affordable! Don't miss the Iron Skillet Fried Chicken or the Seared Sea Scallops over braised pork belly! Incredible. The desserts rock too. Check this place out if you haven't already.
Always great when we visit wisteria. Great food and service. a "must" in atlanta
I love this place! Great fried chicken. Chef Jason rocks!
This is THE absolute best restaurant in Atlanta, hands down. From the moment you walk in the door, to the moment that last taste of dessert smacks your lips, it is nothing short of perfection.
The wait staff are knowledgeable about the food, the ingredients, etc. Their service skills are impeccable and they run the place like a well-oiled machine.
I've been to this restaurant many, many tim...
This is my favorite southern restaurant in Atlanta and perhaps one of my favorite places in Atlanta. The food is very good and I love the unique twists that the put on some of the menu items. They had a good drink selection as well.
This intimate restaurant was a great find. The employees were very friendly and the setting was very warm. I had a fabulous blackeyed pea hummus as an appetizer. The rest of the food was very good and the wine list had many well-priced selections.
local, fun, great food. A lot of people talk about Wisteria in our neighborhood, so i'm glad it's still around and doing well.
Took my wife for dinner on a tuesday nite. Had reservations but not needed. Really like the small and intimate atmosphere. We had the hummus appetizer which was top notch. We actually had it cleared from our table with some left (not like us at all), but felt with so much food coming it would fill us up...Our waitress brought our arugula salad (we ordered one to share) already split on two plates...

Reminds me of a quaint little NYC bistro! Love it!
We sat at the bar the first time we went. It was a weekday and we had no reservation and the place was packed! Our bartender was extremely knowledgeable of the wine list. They offer wine "flights" which was a lot of fun for my girlfriend and I, since we both like different things. The bartender was really helpful in which to pick! Great pr...
Time and again Wisteria has proven itself to be the best restaurant around. After dining there for the millionth time, I thought I'd finally write about it on CitySearch. This place never disappoints. The ambience is elegant but not stuffy and the service is tip-top--always accomodating but never smothering. I love, love, love the beef tenderloin with mac-n-cheese, and my husband can't get enough...
Where do I start! Well me and my wife went to wisteria lastnight and truly had a wonderful time. The wine list was great along with the prices. Our server(Randy) helped us pick out a great bottle. I had the duck and my wife had the lamb and we were soo happy. What I really loved was how they do the dessert samples. If you are trying to decide where to eat this is the place.
This is a great place to take guests form out of town if you want them to get the feel of neighborhood dining. It's intimate and the food is fresh and delicious. You can't go wrong with their wine list either. Try the scallops and fall in love like we did.
I have eaten in many of restaurants throughtout Atlanta and Wisteria is by far the BEST!!! I have tried everything on the menu and have never had a single complaint! To top it off the wine list is awesome and very reasonably priced... When ever I have friends or family come in to town, I always take them to Wisteria! My absolute favorite is the Chicken and collard greens! I do not eat anyone e...
My husband and I celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary at Wisteria. It came highly recommended from a coworker. I was completely impressed. The beef tenderloin with mac & cheese was delicious. I forgot to mention the mussels we started with were soo good. My husband had the duck. It might be the best duck I've tasted. It was a very memorable experience and we will be back soon and often. Big th...
Wisteria is my favorite new place to go to not be gouged by the wine lists retail mark up. My husband and I love dining out and trying new food, but most importantly we appreciate a great bargain and a great wine. Well, Wisteria gets my vote on all three categories. GREAT FOOD; we had the sea scallops to share, a wonderful roasted winter beet salad (my god how do some people hate beets?) and b...
Wisteria is a lovely Southern restaurant located in the Inman Park neighborhood of Atlanta. The food is always excellent, the staff is great, and what a neat building! Having eaten there several times and sampled many things on the menu, I can honestly say it is a great dining experience. Valet parking available in a lot right next door.
This place has amazing food and a romantic atmosphere. I was in a rush so ended up eating with a friend at the bar instead of waiting for a table but still had a great experience. I had the pork tenderloin and my friend had the lamb-there was nothing left on our plates!
I had a delicious meal last night that didn?t miss a beat. We started with sweet potato soup. My take on my two spoonfuls was that it was good but reviews from the other side of the table indicated that it was a lot better than just good. I had seared sea scallops which I frankly thought was a masterpiece. Main course you ask? Southern fried Catfish which was declared the best ever and skill...
Wisteria is consistently where we choose to go for a more upscale dinner. In fact, when we dine at other restaurants, we often find ourselves wishing we'd gone to Wisteria instead. The staff is knowledgable and helpful and provides attentive, but not overbearing service. The food and wine are top-notch. The menu changes, but not so drastically that your favorites will all disappear. Our favo...
My wife and I went to Wisteria last night and it was great. We sat at the bar and had a wonderful experiance. The bartender jeff was very helpful and noligable about the menu. I had the beef tenderloin with some wonderful mac and cheese and my wife had the skate. Everything was excellent and I would strongly suggest to anyone to go.
I took my wife to Wisteria last night and we were both blown away. The food was out of this world. I choose the pork dish and my wife had the skate wing. We could had licked our plates! I was most impressed by the skate wing, as I had never tried anything like it before. The service was excellent and our server was especially helpful with the wine "book". I would definately suggest making reserva...
My fiancee and I had dinner at Wisteria Sunday night and had a wonderful time as usual. We have been very disappointed recently by some of the new restaurants in our neighborhood , and spent a major portion of the dinner discussing how nice it is to have restaurants like Wisteria which are always great. Our compliments and thanks to Wisteria and other Atlanta restaurants like them who consisten...
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant on Highland Ave. A regular since the opening I can say the quality of food is consistent especially the favorites Iron Skillet Chicken and the Molasses Pork Tenderloin. Creative specials and excellent wine list.I always take out-of-town guests who rave and can't wait to return.
I had some girlfriends in town from Florida and we, along with two other friends who live in Atlanta, tried Wisteria for the first time. We had absolutely no complaints... everyone's drinks were good - from beer to wine to even a margarita - and the food was outstanding. Two of us ordered the skate wing and thought it was awesome. One friend ordered the vegetable platter and it looked amazing ...
After a terrible NYE dinner up the street at Vine, another guest recommended Wisteria to ring in the new year. When we go there after 10pm the place was jammed, full of energy and fun people at the bar. They were still seating people for dinner that late which says how good they are. Everyone had smiles and seemed to be enjoying themselves. We were lucky to grab a spot at the bar after anothe...
My husband and I were in town for a meeting and asked for recommendations for dinner. We had Randy as our server. He was pleasant and professional. Our reservations were for 7. (Restaurant only mildly busy at that time). While initially seated against the brick wall, my husband didn't want to face the wall. Within minutes, we had our table changed so that both of us had our backs to the wall....
Had another wonderful dinner at Wisteria Saturday evening. We had the big guy with the beard as our server and he was fantastic. Recommended a couple bottles of wine off their reserve list since we were looking for a nice bottle. Settled on a Merry Edwards Pinot that was attractively priced at only $85. Great selection. Started with the Black eyed pea Hummus and sweet potatoe chips which was...
What I like most about Wisteria is its total lack of pretense. It's not "done up" like so many Atlanta restaurants, where the decor is more impressive than the food. That's not to say I don't like the atmosphere...the hardwood floors and exposed brick walls make the place quite cozy. But the food is definitely why people come. The house-made ravioli with deconstructed pesto had so many wonderful ...
Wisteria is our new favorite. Great creative dishes at very fair prices and way too much to eat. They have the best wine list that can be found with prices for mid to high end wines sometimes $20-$30 less than other "wine" restaurants. Their servers are excellent and very knowledgable about wine and you always get the proper glassware to make it an elegant experience. Wisteria is very highly ...
WOW! What a wonderful experience the whole evening was. I took my parents an my girlfriend there for my mothers birthday last night. Yummy! And very filling. We each got different meals and all of us enjoyed all of them. Our waitress Patricia, was more than helpful with suggestions about wines and starters. The scallops (small plate) are to die for but there are only two on a plate, so she sugges...
My wife and I went to Wisteria for the first time on Friday night and it was one of the best meals I have had. The wine list is spectaular and very resonably priced. Our waiter suggested a wine from Sardinia that was fantastic. For our first course we shared the tomato fries and tuna tartare that were both delicious. For our entrees I had the pork tenderloin and my wife had the chicken with c...
Service was so alseep.. The bread came after the appetizer, after the first round of very bad drinks and then the entree, and whoops, now let's bring bread..how stupid. this is billed as first class service, oh, sorry, I forgot, first class for a Sat night in hot Atlanta, the tourists were all out , so they thought we locals had no class, well let me tell you, bring the bread out early and it wa...
The weather was newly warm this past weekend, and we were looking for a new dining destination. And Wisteria on Highland Ave. more than fit the bill. Tiny, cozy, and dripping with new Southern Charm. I don't know whats happening around the city, but New Southern Cuisine is everywhere. Our server was terrific, not Southern, but made a few recommendations. We both started with an outstanding C...
I chose this restuarant for a first date due to the great reviews on this site. I wasn't disappointed, I highly recommend this restaurant. I made reservations for 7:45p, we arrived early and were promptly seated. Service was outstanding, food was phenominal. I noticed there wasn't salt or pepper shakers on the table, not that the food needed any seasoning. I had the ahi tuna, cooked perfectly. M...
I'm sorry, but after reading reviews here and other places, I was excited to take my date here for a romantic dinner later at night (9PM). Nothing could be further from the truth. The physical location wasn't promising and the valet parking is really the only option, which is a problem when you return for your car as the valets typically have several groups of people at once to manage between o...
I have recommended Wisteria for business dinners and romantic dinners for many friends. The food is great as well as the atmosphere and all very reasonably priced and friendly service!
Head to wisteria for consistently good food in a warm and beautiful atmosphere. The prices are reasonable and it's a great place for a date or for a group.
This place is perfect! Food is impeccable, w homey southern feel. This is the kind of place which is both romantic and comfortable at the same time. You walk in and feel like it's your favorite place! Great wine too! Yummy date place!
Went there for my anniversary and it was great! We love to eat out and are very selective when we do. This has made it into our top 5 in atlanta. Great service, great wine list(harder to find these days), and great food! Must try the Skate wing!!!! Nice and relaxed atmosphere. It is what a restaurant should be, a mini vacation to enlighten the taste buds and enjoy your surroundings. A++++
I visited Wisteria on 8/19/2006 on a date. We requested a private table and we got just that. We were in a nice cozy corner of the restaurant. The wait staff were very attentive and we did not want for anything. The food both the appetizers has well as the entree's were very good and innovative. The atmosphere was very romantic. So much so that the couple at the table in front of ours got e...
Had not been to Wisteria in a while and was in the mood for comfort food. It may not be the best presentation, it is very good american dishes and much better than Food 101 whos name even says they are very basic and in the early learning stages. I had the duck and it was very tasty and well done and my partner had the summer papperdelle. The noodles were a bit thick and too much garlic, but a...
Wisteria is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. I think it's underrated though, or maybe just doesn't seem to get the recognition it deserves. I've yet to be disappointed there, no matter how often I go. The restaurant is fairly small, but has a really cool design to it - exposed brick wall, orginal art on the walls, rustic wood floors. The room gets really crowded on weekends - so definit...
This place has the best chicken & corn pudding in Atlanta. The braised collard greens are the best and the squash soup, when it's on the menu, is so, so good. This is one of my top faves in the city for sure.
My friend and I dropped by Wisteria on a Wednesday with no reservations to see what we could taste, & were impressed. Even after I showed up 30 mins late we were still seated promptly. Service was good, not too pressing. Our watermark appeitizer (the crab cake) came with corn & basil chips, which was different and tasty. She had the tenderloin meatloaf, me the pork, and although the potatoes with...
My family & I (8 total) ate at Wisteria the weekend of Mother's Day with some out-of-town inlaws. I was careful to pick a place that had majority good reviews & found very few negative reviews about Wisteria, so I decided to make reservations. The out-of-towners loved their food and ambience and the wait staff was very knowledgable and friendly. A couple in our party ordered the veggie plate, ...
The appetizer alone made it worth writing this review. No appetizer in town can top the black eyed pea hummus! The wine list is fabulous, and the service is also tops. i have never had a bad experience at Wisteria.
this restraunt has a great wine list, very open range also offers higher end wines. to start with the service is impecable, from the front door to the table they do everything they can to make your experiance comfortable. i find there food to be freash, jason hill is the owner and head chef i have been follwing him for years. this restraunt is nothing short of amazing. so please do yourself a fav...
A truly pleasant dining experience. The service was attentive and well versed. The menu selection was diverse and included unique touches to familiar foods. I had the skate, which was excellent. My companions had the special and the catfish which were equally as good. For the price, this restaurant is a jewel.
Me and my girlfriend went to wisteria for dinner a few weeks ago and man was it awsome. My server knew the wine list like the back of his hand, and helped us pick the perfect wine with our food. My girlfriend had the tuna and man was it good. I had the steak fillet with mac and cheese. It was slap your moma good. we also started with the mussels. They were as good as the smelled. We found our kne...
exellent wine list. the front of the house manager; Katie is amazing. sophisticated comfort food. can't beat it!
I visited Wisteria for the third time recently and the menu has changed. I was a little upset that the catfish was gone, but they made up for it with amazing small plates. I had the pork belly(which sounds a little scary but was delicious), the fried lobster tail(what can I say except YUM), and the duck tostada(excellent as well). The wine list was elegant and eclectic. My server, Julie, was rea...
my boyfriend and i recently dined at this charming upscale but unassuming restaurant this evening. We enjoyed everything about our experience. The food was pitch perfect and the service (Jeffrey is the best) right on. Jeffrey was very knowledgable about wine and helped us to select a perfect 1/2 bottle of white for our starters...and a fun 2/3 bottle of Pinot Noir for our entrees. I should no...
This was a great weeknight romantic restaurant. My dinner (maple-glazed pork tenderloins) and dessert (creme brulee) were scrumptous. I thought that the menu would have been a bit more extensive, but other than that, it's definitely rated as one of my Atlanta favorites. I would also recommend it for a small business dinner location.
This place remained hidden from me for 4 years, but now that I know about it--I can't wait to go back!! I visited Wisteria with a large group of people and all of us were thrilled about our meals. We had many different dietary needs, particularly special food allergy needs. All of these needs were met with competence and kindness! The food was amazing, so tasteful, with interesting combinations. ...
Wisteria continues to be one of my favorites in the Highlands. Food is very good and creative. The mac & cheese is excellent comfort food that I just love. Not fancy, but delicious. Their wine list is very good and the prices reasonable. Definitely worth many more visits.
Wisteria has the best Catfish and Calamari in Atlanta! What I love about this place is that every time I go the food and wine menus evolve and there is always something new to try. My husband and I celebrate every anniversary here and it just keeps getting more romantic and beautiful. Top notch service and food.
Wisteria has always been an excellent dining experience. The wait staff are courteous, friendly, and attentive. I eat here about twice per month and have had consistant service and food quality every time. My personal favorites are the Calamari, Tuna, and Tenderloin, though you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Great wine list. Fantastic date restaurant!
Wisteria is my favorite restaurant. Each time I visit it seems that the food, service and wine list keep improving. When friends and family come from out of town, Wisteria is the first restaurant that we take them. It is one of those spots where you always feel welcome. One of the special things about this place is that the service is exceptional. From the first time I visited they made me fe...
I have given Wisteria a try 4 times in the last two months and the best I have had was an OK experience. The food quality is very poor, service needs work and hostess is stuffy and unfriendly. There are much better choices in the highlands. The atmosphere is cozy, which makes up for some of the food short comings. Also, a place with thier prices should not have a wines list that is printed on...
The atmosphere is relaxing and friendly. The staff is knowledgeable, gracious and very accommodating.
I highly suggest the crab bisque, and the herb crusted Lamb, it was exceptional.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience whether romantic or with a group of friends. We will definitely be back soon.
This is one of my favorite places to eat! The services is attentive, but not overbearing. No one I've been there with has ever ordered anything that wasn't awesome! They have incredible wild boar sausage and the mushroom tart is fantastic (in the summer, it was a Vidalia onion tart). The owner/chef is on-site and very personable. The wine list is extensive, with several moderately priced cho...
Consistently good food -- try the catfish; the pork and beef dishes are excellent; skip the salmon. Service is sometimes less than what it should be but no reason not to go there. Much better than any of the restaurants in Va. Highlands.
By far my favorite restaurant in Atlanta! It's the perfect place for taking clients or a date. The ambiance is intimate and beautiful. And, the food is excellent. Wisteria has the absolute BEST chocolate and vanilla creme brulee in the world!
One of my favorite spots in Atlanta. The food is consistently good, the service is excellent and the price is right.
Wisteria is the place we always end up going. It's perfect after a hard day. The setting is comfortable, welcoming. It works just as well for two people as it does eight. (and we've done both) The menu offers a great selection, changing just every so often. The food never disappoints. The service is outstanding and the wine choice good.
We have been to Wisteria many times and have worked our way through Jason's menu. You can't miss on the Catfish. You MUST try the Pork Tenderloin and the salads and deserts are to die for!
Don't miss the catfish or the grits! Elegant setting that fits in perfectly with the neighborhood.
