  3. The best karaoke bar everrr
I held a surprise Birthday party for my sister here on a Friday night and it was AMAZING! I set it up only a few days in advance with the owner, Iggy. He re-assured me that everything would be perfect and it was! They let us go there in the afternoon the day of the party and decorate, the bartenders were awesome and kept the drinks coming. We did the open bar for 3 hours at $35 each ; ) We ordere...

  4. Would be Five Stars, But...
The first time I went here, I felt like I had found the Fountain of Youth or the Ark of the Covenant, I had one of the best bar experiences I have ever had in Manhattan. Iggy was there and he was cool, friendly, and right away made my friends and I feel like we were home. The bartenders were great, too. The special was a pint and a shot for $6. I figured there has to be some sort of limit on what...

  5. Iggy's is a blast
Iggy's is a fun dive with a great set-up for karaoke. Certainly not a high-brow venue by any stretch but a fun place with a laid-back crowd, friendly staff, and reasonably priced drinks. The decor (especially the entrance) is decidedly vintage, a throwback to New York's wilder and more carefree days. The few fools posting negative reviews about Iggy's here are either snobs expecting something mor...

  7. No matter what day you go, it's always a positive experience.
Whether you go for the karaoke, the food (try the Bison Burger!), the great drink specials (perfect for loosening up those vocal chords), or just to hang out with some good friends, Iggy's is ALWAYS a positive place. Iggy, himself, is a genuine and positive chap, whose infectious attitude has clearly made it's mark on the rest of the staff. Perhaps it is because of this atmosphere, that Iggy...

  8. Interesting experience....
I had a party at Iggys last night for a friends birthday. I came almost an hour early to set up and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Once 11pm came, everyone was having a great time, yet it took a very long time to get our drinks (maybe next time there should have been 2 waitresses to handle 4 large parties because 1 took 20min to get drinks, but I understand she tried her hardest.)...

  9. Iggy's is Awesome!
Came to Iggy's with a group of friends as we were on the Upper East lookin for a few drinks. By the end of the night, we had so much fun singing so many songs in karaoke. The back room was really huge and made it very comfortable to enjoy yourself. I am going to be planning an upcoming party there for my office after meeting Iggy the owner who was just as great as his place!

  10. charity -- no deal
Owner promotes his bar as a place where people can earn cash for their charitable endeavors. No dice. He is actually more about dissing his customers when they "complain"... meaning if their order doesn't come in 40 minutes. I mean -- I actually got a lecutre at the bar for this. Don't go here. It's a small, loud, hole in the wall with bad wine and beer.

  11. Fun party
Some friends and I just hosted an unconventional baby shower at Iggy?s recently and it was a huge success. It is a fun atmosphere the staff was very friendly and helpful and Iggy, the owner is a riot, very energetic. He was very welcoming and easy to work with when planning our event. It was no problem when we wanted to add a few personalized theme decorations for the room. Not that you need ...

  12. Perfect for a Party!
I just had my birthday party at Iggy's and I thought it was great. Iggy, the owner, was very warm and took great care of my guests. The food was fantastic and the drinks were reasonable. The music selection was very extensive. Iggy's is a wonderful place for a casual party.

  13. BEST PARTY SPOT
A huge thanks to Kathy for coordinating the event for Guan's 30th Surprise Birthday!! I was searching for a location for a quite a while because not many private event spots can offer food, drinks and most importantly, entertainment. Therefore, Iggy's superb karaoke feature was a big plus to the fantastic drinks and food that was provided. Everythinng was very well-organized with the help of ...

I went to a party last night at Iggy's.... We had a blast. DJ Brooke was playing awesome music, and the new karaoke selection was HUGE! Soo many choices! This is by far the best karaoke bar in the city. Kudos to Iggy for making a great bar even better! You'll be seeing me again soon! ~Ashley

  15. A Buck For Lymphoma & Leukemia Fundraiser
Nothing for Nothing but what's all the hype about paying a dollar to sing a song? I can't believe there is actually a person complaining about paying a lousy buck to sing a karaoke song!!! All that money is donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Foundation, it's all for charity! Can't there be peace in this world? Can't people help to make a difference? I think it's a wonderful idea being able t...

  16. We had the best time!!!
I don't usually find myself on the Upper East side on a Saturday night, but my friend was having a birthday party at a karaoke bar there. Now I have been to my fair share of bad karaoke bars, so I guess thats why I wasn't so excited about the theme of his birthday celebration. But BOY WAS I WRONG!! Upon entering Iggy's Karaoke bar it was totally packed! After a singer was finished, good or bad t...

  17. won't ever go back
A bunch of friends and I went for a birthday on a Saturday night. Iggy himself was extremely nice and helped us grab a table even though we didn't have reservations. Other than that, I was very unhappy with the experience. The cocktail waitress commented as soon as we sat down that we should be mindful that she made all of her money off tips - this is nothing new in NYC, and I found it to be pret...

  18. Fun If you are 21 and have seven hours to spare to wait to sing
Way to much of a college, vibe and not in a cool way. No coat check, bathrooms with view of the main area (gross) karaoke as well as strange american pie esque contests, such as " go the batroom, cut ur pubes and wear them as a fake moustuche with a piece of scotch tape, i dont find this appealing at all. When i asked for the coat check a girl pointed to a pile of coats near the stage, again not ...

  20. Best Private Party Spot
We hosted a private party for 100 people at Iggy's and it was the best party of the year! Iggy himself is an incredible host and did an amazing job ensuring that our party was flawless. The drinks were great, the food delicious and the service could not have been more accomodating. The karaoke was by far the best we've ever done and the dj's did an excellent job. Everyone agreed this was the ...

  22. PAY to sing karaoke?
Since when have you paid for each song you request to sing at a karaoke bar? Is this some way for the guy who runs the karaoke to pocket some easy cash? Then, he shuffles the songs, not calling people in order of their requests, and you wait hours to sing your one song while the 'favorites' of the karaoke guy sing several songs a piece. And, in the end, he pockets the money you've given him to si...

  23. The Best karaoke Around!Must Go!
I love this place! I have been a regular now for 5 months and will be for life. The bartenders are great ( Peter makes the best drinks). Matt (sunday DJ) is the best. Iggy himself is such a ham its great. Newly freshened up interior. Drinks are good for the money especially for the Upper e. side. Can't express how great of a bar this is . Karaoke 7 days a week.

  24. No Frills, big fun
I've been going to Iggy's for years to satisfy my karaoke jones. Iggy's is a dive in the best sense of the word, and, in my opinion, the absolute best place to sing karaoke in the city. They have karaoke every night starting at about 10:30. The bartenders are great (and always take a quick break to sing a ditty or two), and the prices are pretty good (for the Upper East side). The crowd alway...

  25. Bad singers, fun atmosphere
Came here after looking online for a kareoke place, but nothing too fancy. This was exactly it. Decent drinks/average price, drunk yet fun crowd singing along to people who truly can't sing, thus making it for a very interesting evening. The MC was obnoxious, like any good MC should be, humorous between singers... and you could dress anyway you want, casual and even saw people there in tuxedos...
