This is the Indian Restaurant that I get dressed up for and go to celebrate. They have good flavor and good quality. They have many vegan and vegetarian options.
Was recently at my cousin's anniversary party, with over 100 guests, and was amazed at the beauty, food and service at this venue. I know Gaylord's has been in Los Angeles for a long time but I never had the opportuinty to attend an event here. I think I missed out. The space was recently renovated and a highly acclaimed restaurant, Tanzore, was added next door. The decor was lavish. We ate salmo...
Let me tell you something, I'm telling everyone about this place, which is now called Tanzore. I wish I lived closer, I'd be here all the time. The service is impeccable - friendly and timely. The food and desserts are perfectly seasoned and presented. Try the Samososa, they are quite tasty. I had a Charbay Green Tea Mojito - super refreshing. The colors of the restaurant are rich and inviting. A...
I just have to say, this place is great! It is the gold standard, in Los Angeles, as far as I'm concerned, when it comes to Indian cuisine. It's all about authenticity here, from the menu, to the food itself. I was here for a banquet party the other night, and I was really impressed. The food was so fresh, and the service was great too. I can't imagine going anywhere else for great, authentic Ind...
A friend recommended dinner at Gaylord since it had been years since he had been there. We were craving authentic Indian food, and Gaylord definitely delivered with a new spin. The four of us were warmly received and seated in their banquet room which was a bit odd-- we figured out why when Sam, the maitre d' explained the construction of the new restaurant next door, Tanzore. Our friendly ser...
I have been reborn! Wow! Went to Gaylord after not having had Indian food for years and fell in love again.
It was kind of hard to find at first, housed in a big black building on Restaurant Row, but then I saw a large lit banner and we were in. Inexpensive self parking was available and we walked right in and were greeted by a very gracious Indian gentleman, Sam. At first I was skeptical becau...
This is by far the worst dining establishment I have been to in my life. I have always been curious as to what the big fuss was over a "posh" Indian restaurant and could not have been more disappointed. First of all, when you pull up to valet there was nobody there I had to wait about ten minutes outside before someone came to get the car. Then we walked in and weren't greeted, there was no am...
This is a nice place. they served pretty good food during my visit. A little bit spicy but I liked it. The Service is awesome. I loved the ambience.
I think this is a great restaurant to go to. I suggest make reservations before you go.
We were in LA on a vacation. I am from Northern India and live in NY. We tried the new/improved menu. I haven't tasted anything like it. Believe me I have been to Indian restaurants all over the world. Kesari Chicken and Napolean Paneer were simply amazing.
I love Indian food!!! Unfortunately, I didn't love Gaylord. I chose this place after hearing so much about it...perhaps it's just the location that makes people rave. The Bombay Chat was pretty much chopped potatoes and onions with what was, I swear, Wheat Thins; it was dry by the way...no chutney or yogurt. I also ordered the Channa Masala, my standard which I've often eaten least 3 times a ...
Gaylord is a very special restaurant, with food that transcends and inspires! This is one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles, and be assured I have tried them all! I come from an Indian family and regularly take my relatives here for authentic, sophisticated, wonderful food. Vegetarians try the Paneer Makhani (tell the waiter Nicky to make it just right for you), bombay chat, aloo golbi, ...
I have dined here before many times. Yes, the place is a bit pricy, but stop whining. You are paying for the quality of food and taste..those of you that have written negative reviews belong to or own other Indian Restaurants in the area. I find their reviews offensive. This restaurant is great if you want great Indian food. I have tried other Indian restaurant, but when it comes to flavor and qu...
I have heard this place is expensive for dinner, but I thought the lunch buffet was a great value. Also, this was the best Indian buffet experience I have had in LA as far as variety---far more choices than the typical Indian buffet. They even had chai! I would definitely go back, and bring friends, too. the restaurant itself is very nice with a classy ambience and decor.
uh huh. that is what i would title this restaurant. engaging the spices and herbs straight from india. i love the restaurants in new york much better than in los angeles, however, gaylord india restaurant is almost the same as my favorite india restaurant in new york. that is quite a big compliment to the gaylord india restaurant.
This restaurant gave birth to most Indian restaurants in L.A. as far as their curry goes. Its got this immense flavor that will leave you with a pleasant aftertaste for hours. The flavor is compared to: Bombay Palace (a mile west on Wilshire & not recommended) and Electric Lotus (Los Feliz, not so good reviews lately) but more pricier than the other two mentioned. The dining hall is what it suppo...
This is one of the worst Indian restaurants ever. The food was terrible and the service even worse. The portion sizes are way too small and everything is highly over-priced. The only thing nice about this place is probably the space they have. It's huge.
Gaylord India Restaurant has the best food in Beverly Hills. You can't beat it!!! I highly recommend going. The ambience is great on weekends...mellow, a great place to take a date.
We went there last week and the food was delcious! My date and I had a great time...it was romantic and the candles were beautiful. The Lamb was the best I have ever had! I will definitely recommend this place!
The best value is their buffet (Mon-Sat) for $10. It is very nice and spacious inside. There were only a few people when we went for the buffet on a Saturday.
The food was excellent. There are not many other Indian restaurants where I liked the food as much as here. Buffet included delicious tomoto soup.
If you like Indian food you should definitely try this place.
It seems like they off...
We went very early on a week night and had the waiters full attention. All we had to do was glance in his general direction and, in a flash, he was at our table, checking our waters. The vegetable pakoras were decent, otherwise, the food all looked the same, though served with much flourish. There is definitely better Indian food to be had. The ambience is pretty romantic though, so it's not a...
