Been going to this fine place for years and years. Robert the owner is handsome and has a cool old car =]
I'm a big fan! I went here for the first time last Tuesday eve for a friend's b-day. I didn't get any food so I can't comment there but the atmosphere was good, music was super swank, and the beverages were tasty. Drink prices were totally average and great for doubles. I'm a Makers fan. The bartender, Will was a rockstar--there were so many of us that it seemed pretty chaotic but even when I...
Rosebud Restaurant & Bar has been a favorite of mine for a number of years. I "discovered" it in 2002 when on a hunt for a good, value-oriented weekend brunch spot. Well, the French Toast at brunch captivated me and soon I was inviting friends and clients to join me for dinner. The portions are just right--Euro-styled. The menu fare, creative and tasty. And the wine selections are far ranging. If...
I have been coming to Rosebud for years mostly for drinks in the bar. The staff is always friendly and attentive. I've eaten their a couple of times and the brunch is always wonderful but the dinner menu has been a miss for awhile. I heard about the new kitchen staff and menu and decided to give it another try. It has taken a huge turn for the better!!!! They have really stepped it up with the ne...
The Rosebud Restaurant is a nice stop for drinks, happy hour or dinner. It's nestled in and feels like a little New York restaurant, with style and ambience. The food is classic, with interesting, beautiful preparation, sauces and flavors. Very romantic on a date, or good to socialize with others.
Food was disgusting, waiter was totally rude. It was a complete waste of money and I would NEVER go back. This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to in Seattle.
I eat at Rosebud all the time, the last time I was there I was suprised that the food was not as good as it had been. So I thought I would go back and try it again, last night. Tehy have anew mwnu and a change in the kitchen staff. Well the difference was amaizing, the new menu was so different and so many good things to choose from, and the flavors incredible. If you tried Rosebud in the past, t...
I?ve been a big fan of Rosebud for almost as long as it?s been in existence because of the service and the great food. Plus, you can?t beat the generous happy hour. The ambiance is sublime and romantic with the music and decor. If you?ve never been, try not to be put off by the rabid negative remarks found below. No restaurant is perfect, but Rosebud would not have been around for as long as it h...
I went to Rosebud expecting a lovely meal. Instead I received polenta that ran across my plate in a river of muck. Chicken that was so dry and tasteless and bread that felt leftover from the previous day. This was quite literally the worst meal I had in 2006. I filled out a comment card, including my email. never heard a word. The service was great in the restaurant, but don't expect your voice t...
I adore this restaurant. It's charming ambience entices me from the moment I enter the pretty little place. And the cuisine never disappoints. I especially appreciate the modest portions and do not at all mind paying whatever for well prepared, beautifully presented, unique dishes. The waitstaff is attentive and friendly, making me feel like I am being entertained in a private home. The Rose...
A couple of friends of mine introduced me to Rosebud Restaurant & Bar several months ago. From my first visit, I was so impressed with the quiet, cozy, unpretensous atmosphere that I knew I'd be back! Not only do I return on a regular basis, but I've introduced scores of others to this "little jewel" and I have always received a gracious "thanks for the introduction" from my "Rosebud Virgins." Th...
This is my new favorite restaurant in Seattle! Very stylish and romantic interior, with an informative and friendly staff. The menu had many tempting offerings; but I went with a mixed green salad with yummy yummy walnuts, and stuffed chicken breast for my entree. Both were well prepared and absolutely delicious! I plan to return soon to try out a few more things. . .
And save room for dessert- ...
This was the worst dining experience that I have had recently in Seattle. Please think twice before spending any money on the poorly prepared menu items at Rosebud.
The beet in my "Roasted Beet Salad" was so salty I had to drink an entire glass of water after the first bite. The "salad" was HALf a very salty beet decoratively placed among 3 canoe shaped goat cheese parcels. This was no sala...
I dont mind paying a lot for a good meal, but when I go to a restaurant and see an ambitious, though slightly schizophrenic, menu and then get served something I cannot even eat after waiting forty minutes between salad and main course it leaves me wishing I had stayed home. In particular, I ordered the gnocchi and asparagus. The asparagus was o-kay, but at the price to value ratio was way off. T...
I loved the intimate, romantic atmosphere and the wonderful service, but the food was just ok and the prices too high. We went there twice. The first time I was more impressed but the second time was very disappointing. The problem was that we went there for Valentines Day, thinking it would be the ideal place because it is so romantic. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to me, there was a "Valentine's D...
The Rosebud has a great happy hour with very cheap drinks from 5 until 8 (or 9?). It's one of the rare spots on Capitol Hill where you can acutally hear the person next to you when they talk to you! The place is very comfy and inviting. . .if you're looking for cheap food to go along with your drinks, don't look here, the food is very very expensive.
PROS: Cheap drinks, nice atmosphere
CONS: ...
Im conflicted about Rosebud. The space is darling and the food beautiful and generally delicious. My beef? The service! Met there last week post-work with girlfriends...ours was one of the only occupied tables. Despite the slow evening, our server seemed reluctant to deal with us. I waited 20 minutes to place an initial drink order, and when we ordered food, the server rushed away after two ...
I like Rosebud for the drinks. They have food, but i have never eaten here. I'm sure it is good, though, because the place has quality drinks and a nice atmosphere. The bar is the place to be here - a great place to meet friends or begin or end a date. In the world of bars that is capitol hill, this one stands out above the crowd for its beauty and glamour in an intimate setting.
this bar serves the best cosmopolitan that i have ever tasted in seattle. i have been to every bar and nightclub imaginable in seattle, and the cosmopolitan that i remember the most is at the rosebud. i have to say that the bar itself is quite a cosy, artsy atmosphere. i mean, there are couches inside, as well as barstools and chairs with tables, while outside there is a patio. unfortunately, for...
A friend and I went in for Saturday brunch before Stitches opened next door. I had huevos rancheros and my friend had the eggs florentine. The presentation was beautiful for both, I found the serving size to be just right for the price. I did not find the prices to be any higher than I would pay for breakfast at a chain restaurant. We were seated by the windows which gave us the always unique...
My boyfriend and I loved this restaurant. Frank Sinatra was playing the entire time we dined and since I'm a fan of Ol' Blue Eyes it added to the experience. The lighting was low and mystic and every part of the decor cooperated to create a perfectly romantic interior. Service was impeccable and the waitress was very helpful with suggestions, all of which were delicious. The best thing about ...
This Capitol Hill restaurant is always a favorite of mine whether I'm entertaining friends or dining on my own. The atmosphere is great and the service is impeccable. The food is wonderful! They always have creative and delicious specials for brunch and dinner. There is no comparison for any brunch around on the hill. They offer the best prices and they never seem to settle for anything less...
I recently went here for brunch. The food was mediocre and overpriced. The huevos rancheros was small and tasteless although very pretty in presentation. The atmosphere was cute and quaint but didn't warrent the price tag.
I've been to the Rosebud a few times and I know what makes me keep coming back (besides the $2 well drinks)-it's the atmosphere. You don't feel like you're on Capitol Hill, but instead in some cafe in Nice or Avignon, dining on international cuisine and abosrbing the fine ambience the restaurant has to offer. Plus, the male bartender is extremely hot to boot. :)
I must admit that I will probably go back when I save up enough money. The food is awesome. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was charming.
For the longest time, I went to the Rosebud to have a good time over some drinks with friends. But, everytime I stepped foot into your restaurant, my mouth would start to water from the aromas of the food drifting about the entire place, both restaurant and bar. So, I finally made it there for dinner and it was fabulous!!! The Rosebud is so quaint and cozy, with the plush couches, the friendli...
Along with Chez Shea and Lush Life, this is my favorite of Seattle's restaurants. Knowledgeable and professional service, well-prepared dishes and excellent value take place in a room that is comforting and -- if you are lucky enough to be in one of the window-side two-tops -- a constant source of interesting people watching.
Recent hits include a roasted beet in horseradish appetizer and a s...
A lot has been said about this lovely place, and yes it is lovely. It is my new favorite Sunday morning breakfast place. My eggs were cooked as i asked and the bacon was perfect, fresh juice and hot coffee what more could i ask for? Get there early they fill up fast.
Very impressed with this neighborhood American Bistro, The food and drinks were excellant, I was happy to find out that they did not allow smoking in the bar, just outside on the back southern insprired brick patio with lots of tables under a beautiful tree. They have a $2.00 well happy hour from 4pm-12am which my friends loved. It seems to attract a diverse and cute group of people. check it out...
