This has become a default destination when wandering downtown Seattle. The brews are above average and the menu is extensive enough that it will please anyone but not so large that an indecisive person like me will take forever to decide. The decor can serve as an ice breaker and has even become a full blown conversation.
We stopped in today to have a brew and a bite for the kids. Kids liked their stuff and the brews were great. Service was great too. I recommend going here anytime.
I love this restaurant and have been a number of times. The beer is above average and the food has been great most times that we have come. The only drawback that it has is the location. It is always such a pain to get down to the market and find parking but when you do this is a great reward. Just remember to ask for the number for the restrooms, I guess that they try to keep it for patrons only...
We went on a busy Saturday afternoon. After waiting 15 minutes to be seated, we were unfortunately served poor quality food to our child. My son is 5 years old. He ate the chicken tenders and french fries. Within an hour he was sick. After a doctor's appointment, we were told he had bacterial f.p. from eating here. Poor business to serve bad food to kids! Will not be return customers.
Took a group of friends visiting from D.C. Thought this would be a great way to show them Seattle.
The automatic gratuity for a 'large group' should have tipped us off because we were only 8 people. 4 of which were little kids.
Once ordering food, it was VERY hard to get our waitress to bring anything extra (like a refill of water while choking on spicey dinner).
The food was about a 3 s...

We were in Pike's Place Market as tourists and were hungry for cooked seafood after seeing all the vendors. A gentleman in one of the shops suggested the Pub for fish/chips. We were told a 15-20 minute-wait, but it was less than 10. We had the Halibut and chips, which was delicious and a huge portion. I shared w/my son and the waitress offered to order a "shared-plate" for an extra $1 with an...
The changes at the Pub over the last year have been great! The beer is fantastic and always a good reason to stop in. With the changes it just got better, better service, better food, cleaner. They totaly redid the back little bar area into a fun place to hang out with groups. SO much better than the dark and dirty bar that it was before. My firends and I have made the back bar area into our Frid...
Pretty much your typical pub. Good location. Great place for a large group to watch a game or celebrate an event.
I don't know much about the food. I didn't see anything that truly jumped out at me on the menu and I wasn't too hungry, so I ordered the hummus with pita and it did the job. I wasn't there to eat though, I was there for the beer! As I always do when I go to a new brewery, I started off with the sampler. I was so impressed with the beers that they offer! I liked many of them, and that's not too c...
I recently hosted a birthday party for about 50 people at the Pike and it was so much fun. There is a large area on the top level of the restaurant that easily accomodates a group. With the vast amount of food we ate and numbers of pitchers of beer we ordered - I was shocked at how low the bill was. Our server was friendly and amazingly efficient and our guests all enjoyed the food and beer (...
I'm not always a beer girl, but I love trying all of the beers they have at Pike Pub! Tasty! It's a great place if you want to be able to hear yourself think and be able to chat with friends over a fun game of pool! And on top of it all, it's not soooo crowded that you can't get a table and sit around. Great place to bring the posse!
I went there for one of the first bars I've ever been in in Seattle and I have to say the bartender was great! Not only that but everyone in the place were very friendly. Great Beer and well ventilated smoking area for those of us that can't handle smoke.
The variety of beerd and rotating tap makes this place worth a good long visit. at a first glance it's the usual pub-grub but the food is delicious - !!!
The interesting beers they make here are definitely the highlight of the Pike Pub & Brewery (I would say the Kilt Lifter is the best) but the food is also very good. When tourism is in full swing this place can get pretty full but it's definitely worth the wait. Speaking of waiting, the slow service is the only real downside to this place. But if you are a beer enthusiast you should definitely...
The Pike is a great place to hang out after work or for a fun lunch. The beer is why people come, but the food is great too (especially the BBQ Chicken or Veggie Nachos - stay away from the burgers). However, the very best part is the service. Bruce and his crew are knowledgable about Pike's great brews and really know how to make you feel at home! It can be crowded before Showbox shows, but...
Good beer. Good burger. Good fries. Good (almost poor) service. A good experience, but good in a city full of great restaurants isn't good enough to ensure a return. I'd classify this place as one at which you'd eat if you were hungry, it was close, and you didn't want to bother looking for anything else.
I travel a great deal. This affords me the luxury of eating out in a multitude of restaurants across this fine land. Honestly, I have found very few that match the atmosphere, service and quality of the Pike Pub. Everyone always makes me feel at home, the food's good (be sure to check the fresh sheet before making your decision) and the beer flat out rocks. In this era of lowered expectations...
If only we had a place like this in Washington, DC! What a place-with a great location, great beer, food and service, why worry about the space needle or a salmon run? Stay here and enjoy....cheers to Pike for putting together a great place to relax...
I'm not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. The service is GREAT! I go there frequently for lunch and the service has always been attentive and courteous. And the food usually exceeds my expectations for a pub!
Have been here twice now and not sure if I'll ever return. Both times the service was unbelievably slow. Our server never came to refill our drinks; we had to go and get her. The burgers are alright but the steamed clams are barely consumable (cold and tastless). The beer is good but again, we had to hunt down our server for refills. It wasn't even busy when we were there so I don't know wha...
Convenient to the Market, The Pike is worth a stop for drinks and appetizers in between sightseeing and/or shopping. Lots of great beers on the menu and the BBQ Chicken Nachos are awesome. The crab chowder is bland and the more serious dishes on the menu aren't always successful. Stick to the basic pub grub and you'll walk away happy.
Not so sure I'd go here to hang out, but the beer sure is tasty. The Kilt Lifter scotch ale is a standout.
