Save your shoes! Go to Austin Shoe Hospital. ASH does an excellent job of repairing shoes that are in need of a little love and attention. I've been able to extend the life of several old favorites and saved myself a lot of time and money in the process from having to go out and buy a new pair. I've always received my shoes on time and they've done a great job of getting them like-new again. Thanks a bunch ASH, ... Read More On Citysearchnancybeckett 11/6/2009
DO NOT USE AUSTIN SHOE HOSPITAL!!!!!!!!! I had to give this store 1 star or I couldn't post, would give it ZERO stars, if possible.
I got an account JUST to review Austin Shoe Hospital. Took my shoes in for dying for my wedding. A week later they came back splotchy - color in some areas, no color in others...SERIOUSLY...and didn't even come CLOSE to the color I chose from their own catalog. Sent them back for re-dying and to fix the ... Read More On Citysearchar444 9/25/2009
Excellent, prompt work I have been going to James and Austin Shoe Hospital on Bee Caves for about 10 years. The work is always excellent. My shoes come back looking brand new. He also reconditioned/dyed my Hobo purse. It looks great, and there is no more fading on the handle. He is also very prompt. He has even completed a job a day early for me, so that I could have the shoes before vacation. I would not take my shoes... Read More On Citysearchsoniam 6/3/2009
Damaged bag? Take it to James! My family gave me a Louis Vuitton computer bag for Mother's Day. My daughter's dog chewed a chunk our of the bottom right near the seam. I took it to James Hawkings at the Austin Shoe Hospital at 3300 Bee Caves Rd, and he patched the hole with the Louis Vuitton material (it's a mystery to me where he took it from), so that it looks like a small tab that serves some purpose. I would never know ... Read More On CitysearchSJZ 5/20/2009
Best shoe repair in Texas The work is meticulous and painstaking. When I showed the shoes to Stuart Weitzman store personnel they could not believe how perfect the repair was. I have now taken five pairs of shoes for refurbishing and each pair is better than new! Read More On Citysearchladybetsy 5/8/2009
Great cobbler/shoemaker/repair place I've always had great experiences going to this location of the austin shoe hospital. James is always there, polite, knowledgeable about the repair process and ready to make recommendations about what is needed to repair my item. In five years of frequenting this establishment, I've never had a bad experience and appreciate the timely manner in which my items are attended to. Often when I pick... Never go here...terrible servcie, incompetent owners Where to begin....I dropped off a pair of zippered boots over 4 months ago now....still don't have them.
They first said it would be 6 weeks because they only had one person who fixed zippers....fine, no big deal. I called after 6 weeks or so, not ready, but "It won't be long...."....then after another 4 weeks or so, call again...."It won't be long....", then I find out the person who fixes zip... Like Brand New! I just got back two pairs of shoes that I sent to Austin Shoe Hospital. They polished up the leather, added a new sole, and fixed the heels that had been worn down to nothing. My shoes look brand new!!!! I spent less than $50 and would have had to spend triple that for a new pair! The shoes were ready when they said they were and the staff was very helpful. I will definitely return!! Read More On Citysearchcrickettc00 3/5/2007
Need to work on their customer service My shoes were misplaced for 3 days after their scheduled pick-up time with no call or explanation. When I finally received a call, they said sorry & that my shoes were ready. When I arrived, I received no personal apology & still had to pay for the service done. I made it clear that my shoes were needed for a special occassion & they weren't ready in time (they had been delivered to store 13 inst... Read More On Citysearchhitanb 2/27/2007
Does not know the meaning of customer service Please note that I cannot speak for all locations; only the owner & the store on Bee Caves (manager James). The first time I took a pair of shoes here, James seemed a little irritated with me, but I decided to give it a second chance, as the work done (anti-slip soles added) was very nice. My second visit was for the same service, but on much more expensive shoes. They were promised on a Thursday... Read More On CitysearchCitysearch User 2/27/2007
My Shoes are Like New! I beat up my favorite pair of heals just be everyday wear and a few too many late nights downtown. The heal had dwindled down and there wasn't much left to the sole. Austin Shoe Hospital did a great job, and my shoes look brand new! I couldn't be happier with the results! Read More On Citysearchkendallfermenick 5/26/2006
Shoe repair My favorite pair of leather boots needed a new zipper and needed new heels on them. I called around to compare prices and the shoe hospital offered what I needed done for a good price. I dropped my shoes off and in just a few days they called me to let me know that they were ready for pick up. I was pleased with the work they did, the price, and the time they were able to do it in. They saved... Read More On CitysearchCitysearch User 3/25/2006
First Class Boot repair! I've been taking my shoes and boots to Austin Shoe Hospital for the past 10 years. They did an excellent job replacing the heels on my favorite boots and that was 8 years ago and they're still good! They can fix anything and they have such reasonable prices that it's cheaper to have them fixed than buy new (don't take a cheap pair of shoes). Leather sandals, they can do it all. They never disappo... Read More On CitysearchCitysearch User 9/6/2005
