Armondo Pavone, Owner In 1986, George Armondo Pavone (known as "Mondo") opened Armondo's Cafe Italiano to the public with a staff of five, ten tables, & a menu of pizza & spaghetti on the corner of 3rd & Main in downtown Renton. The growing success & popularity of Armondo's created the need for expansion. In 2005, Armondo's closed its doors & reopened at the corner of Wells & Houser Way in downtown Renton. The new Italian restaurant seats 165 guests & features hand-blown glass lighting fixtures, comfortable seating, & a private dining room for twenty.
