At Natural Qi Acupuncture and Herbs, our licensed acupuncturist, herbalist and childbirth doula, Melani Bolyai, specializes in women's health, especially fertility, pregnancy and childbirth. She serves as Clinical Supervisor for Touro College in Lutheran Medical Center's labor and delivery ward and is currently working on a research study at Lutheran on acupuncture usage during labor. This research has been featured on NBC. Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, Melani graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University and worked as an environmental scientist. Melani feels so fortunate to have found a career that she loves. Acupuncture uses the body's own energy and strength to heal itself. In this way, Melani finds acupuncture incredibly empowering because it helps patients restore their own health naturally. It is the perfect compliment to Western medicine.
